A solid consistent spot for amazing baked goods! Everytime I visit a Danish pastry house, every single one of them has impeccable service and consistent quality in their baked goods Favourite and must try recommendation is the hoj snegl and if you have an appetite, the Viking! The hoj snegl resembles the textures of a cinnamon bun but just so much more fun! The Viking is flaky and huge! And with a layer of chocolate slapped right on top! When I went to this location, they had a pastry called fastelavnsbolle which is a celebration bun, which I’m not sure if they have it all the time, but another great item to pick up! I mean, fresh whipped cream alongside flaky pastry! It just goes hand in hand! Service, just amazing, amazing, amazing! Super nice with the quick convo we had and as well they even offered me an item to try that they had just started at that time which was the chokolade roulade. Essentially a chocolate roll cake, but think of textures and taste leveled up! Great job overall! A definite loyal returning customer, always to Danish pastry house! I’ve never come here and been dissatisfied. The quality and variety is always on point despite not always having my favourite rum balls. I can walk out with a full box and enjoy whatever they happen to have. To me this is comparable to Cobs but with much more variety. Love love love all the danishes and cheese cake slices
Consistent Quality and Fresh Baked Goods Every time! My waistline regrets learning about this place… I should have tried them earlier but caved this week after I heard random people raving. 6 croissants @ $2.70 is worth it in comparison to Starbucks and Tim Hortons quality. Saint Germaine bakery’s croissants are also a bit too salty and overcooked/dry.
Beware of which pastries you pick! I ordered a selection of pastries and some of them were fine but I'm very disappointed with the Cremeboller. The website says that it is for chocolate lovers There is no chocolate except the drizzle on the top and it should be filled with custard, marzipan and chocolate. However, mine was just empty and filled with holes and no cream or chocolate. It was just like an eclair with the insides sucked out. I feel really ripped off because I paid $3.50 for an air puff! If you are looking for filled croissants, I recommend Bake Code which is located in the same plaza.
I sent my son over Friday night to purchase 6 danishes at 800 PM. First off he was charged full price even though it was late and usually half price by this time period but that’s ok because businesses are suffering now. However, the danish was missing filling. So not acceptable that I am paying full price for subpar quality.
This spot is clean and has a lot of selection. It's my first time trying their pastry. I found it a bit dry and less creamy but other than that it's worth a try.
I got the cheese and almonds croissants - they weren’t very flaky! It wasn’t bad but I’ve much better croissants in the city. Won’t be going back
I had the pleasure of meeting Jay, one of the store staff. He was upbeat, friendly, helpful, and made the experience super enjoyable and memorable. He gave me advice and thoughtful suggestions about how to make my family dessert a real treat. I’ll be returning again because the customer service was awesome! He made a very strong impression.
Wow buttery croissant. So good for a treat. My best friend enjoyed the mouse cake.
Great local bakery, amazing bread and croissants are nice! Surprisingly good coffee to.
