Saigon Kitchen

My daughter and I were visiting Nanaimo and I wanted to take her for a special little dinner...just the 2 of us. We googled to find for a place to go with good reviews and found Saigon Kitchen. We walked into a happening little spot and were greeted by a lovely woman and a few other staff members. They got us a table right away and we're prompt with our drinks. We decided on a beef pho and a spring roll meal for the two of us to share. The food was on the table within 10 mins...I was surprised as they were so busy! We were so pleased with the quality, flavors and presentation. I have eaten Vietnamese hundreds of times and this place did not disappoint! The pho was phenomenal !!! The spring rolls were very good and the salad fresh! My daughter was so happy with the food too. Halfway through the owner Ray came out for a walk through and guest check...he was very kind and happy to see and meet his guests. We ended up taking a few minutes talking with Ray and he was my daughters new buddy...even offered her more soup to take home...super nice! We had a great experience and that was my whole point of taking just my girl out for a mommy & daughter treat. Thank you so much Ray! Next time I will bring my family...hopefully soon as now I am craving more!

Service is great. The broth of pho is on the sweeter side, not my cup of tea. Ingredients were fresh.

I highly recommend this place to everyone if you would like to look for a good Vietnamese cuisine in town. Staffs are very friendly. Restaurant which is also an opened kitchen is super clean and comfortable atmosphere. Also, the lady, who works at the front desk with big smile always, is extremely kind and helpful

The service was fantastic. We are a family that mainly orders vegetarian food. We had the veg spring rolls, curry, crepe and chowmein. We also had one Pho B1. It was all delicious highlights veg curry, spring rolls and Pho. Great prices and quantity is served from the heart. ** pics below were taken half way through our meal ‍. Nice place right off the highway that's the view, haha. Seemed like every one of the patrons knew of each other and the staff. Pho Dac Biet was extremely fragrant and the broth had a very full body to back the soup up. Had a taste of the tofu salad roll and chicken vermicelli bowl, both were standard. Would definitely come back, when on the island again, for the pho and the beef roll beef and a spring roll inside a salad roll!

Love this family-run Vietnamese restaurant. Had a craving tonight for dinner, so ordered up N2...it's all I ever order. Lack adventure much? Maybe, but it is so reliably delicious I can't bring myself to change things up. Throw in a prawn salad roll and their home made chili sauce and fish sauce...you will understand where the cravings come from. Great place and great prices. You won't be sorry.

Ordered from doordash and they forgot the chow mein. They were very kind and threw in a $20 gift card when I went to pick it up. I wasn’t a huge fan of the pho broth, but the rest was fantastic. I LOOOOVE the crispy wontons. 100% recommend

Was in Port Albernie for 3 days - came back twice in my trip bc it was so good! Wonton Saigon Special, Spicy Beef Soup, Classic Beef Pho - all super tasty. If you're looking for really good Vietnamese food, come here.Food: 5/5
