Saigon Express Restaurant

I have been here twice now and both times I was impressed with the food here. It’s a very unassuming place located in peanut plaza - at first glance it doesn’t look like it would be good but surprisingly the food here is even better than some actual pho restaurants. I have had the beef and meatball pho, pad Thai and chicken vermicelli and all are pretty good. Portions are generous for the price. I also highly recommend their iced milk tea - creamy yet not too sweet!

Great food. Not oily. Good prices, but no larger portions; only one size pho.

Good food. Milk tea was delish. Pad thai was a little sweet and ketchupy. Altogether though good value. Would go again.

I am actually very impressed with this joint. I didn't expect much as it was a Vietnamese far food restaurant run by Chinese employees. However my first experience was so good I came back a week later. The Pho broth was spot on, and the Vermicelli bowls was a delight. The service was very friendly as well. It's hard to find a good Vietnamese restaurant in the eastern part of North York. Well done!
