Absolutely one of the BEST dining experiences the Rockies have to offer from being greeted at the door to being thanked for coming. The pleasure was all ours. The morel gnocchi were like PILLOWS in my mouth, and unbelievable in flavour. Still thinking about them....Wine and cocktail list is very diverse and there's even a wine flight trio to try definitely next time! Steelhead trout was tasty and we were very surprised at the assortment and freshness of the entree vegetables. The parsnip puree with roasted cauliflower is a perfect share. The dressing on the salad will keep your fork in your hand too. Go hungry, your appetite will thank you! Vegetarian options: I had the roasted cauliflower and mushroom gnocchi and they were top shelf! Parking: Lots of angle parking, easy access, well lit
Love this place. Delicious creative variations of timeless classics plus solid reliable staples. The crab cakes for example are wonderful - other places seem to have trouble maintaining the balance of a good savory filling with a nice crunchy shell. Usually they come out dry and disappointing. Everything we tried here was cooked as it should be. Try a variety of appies to share verses 1 main dish per person is our suggestion. Give yourselves a mix of the fun. It will cost you abit more and you might have leftovers but the leftovers will still tasty the next day. The decor is intimate and cosy with just enough modern touches to keep it from feeling dated. The parking lot is small but sufficient. Staff is lovely, knowledgeable, personable and most importantly efficient. Good selection of wines, beers and cocktails to top off your meal. Date night or a visit with friends, this place is perfect. We also like that this restaurant is not on main street downtown so coming and going is easy and stressfree. Vegetarian options: Available. Speak with the servers they'll be happy to guide you. Kid-friendliness: I was there with my 13 yr old. And I've seen children there every visit - most much younger. The patio will give them more room to stretch plus letting them search for and watch the bunnies and the gophers in the field next door is good free entertainment. Parking: Roughly parking for 8 to 10 cars. You need to know how to back up properly to not have trouble. Slight gas smell from the station next door sometimes but nothing that permeates into the restaurant or the patio area on other side of the building. Dietary restrictions: Available but limited. Speak with the servers.
The bistro has a very home comfortable feel to it, bright windows nice music. The server Todd was super friendly and helpful. Lots of GF options. The food was very, let's say if you don't stop in here while in Canmore you are doing yourself a disserves. Dietary restrictions: GF
Baby got BACK...BACON! Sage is such a lovely restaurant. The atmosphere, staff, and food keeps me coming back whenever I get the chance. I really recommend trying them out for weekend brunch. Their jam is UNREAL. Blueberry especially Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options.
Fantastic meal! Thurs nights they have mussels on special, and we had the risotto with sausage and the red Thai seafood entree. The espresso cheesecake was divine. So yummy! Highly recommend. And excellent service too.
What a great restaurant! We bumped into this gem looking for something casual to eat. Not only the food is great, the views of the mountains are spectacular! Totally recommend this Bistro. The lamb shank is out of this world!
Absolutely the best food and service, evening was superb.. Best value in Canmore.. I've been here before, and it never disappoint. Sincerely Bjørn Christiansen
My husband and I came here for our anniversary today and absolutely loved it. The Yorkshire pudding with prime rib was absolutely delicious. He got the cordon bleu and I had the lamb. Drinks were delicious and dessert was so good! Thank you for the wonderful evening
I was randomly driving looking for a place to have breakfast before travelling home, not knowing anything about Sage other than seeing an open sign I stopped. I have too many great things to say. The eggs Benny was honestly the best I’ve ever had and the view I had was stunning. the service was the best I’ve had through my entire weekend stay in Canmore. I highly recommend Sage if you are looking for an amazing breakfast with a view !!
Beautiful venue but very pricey in my opinion. They offer unique dishes and they use quality ingredients. I didn't love everything we ordered but I must say the espresso and vanilla cheesecake was delightful. Our server was good and I'm glad we gave it a try.Food: 3/5
