The Iron Goat Pub & Grill

A nice menu selection with some really stand out choices. Service was good and the view is nice. It’s very popular but did not feel too crowded or noisy. Would definitely go back, just wouldn’t have the smokehouse pizza or meatloaf again.

Very interesting starters and delicious mains. A really good variety of cocktails and friendly staff. There’s inside and outside seating, so ask them to lower sun shades if needed, we sat on the inside but was mildly assaulted by flies. All in all still a good experience and delicious all around.Food: 4/5

Our server was Brie I hope I spelt that correctly. She had helped us pick our meals as I was originally going for the Game Burger and my Girlfriend not being very decisive, surprise surprise : Anyhow, Brie helped us make our choices, she had recommended the Game Meat Loaf to me over the burger and she was right, it was VERY good. The pizza was also pretty good for its price. We got the nachos but I ate them too quickly to be able to take a photo of them. The restaurant has a beautiful interior AND exterior. Definitely worth checking out if you're visiting.

Theresa says, the best g-damn fish I ever had!!! No jokes aside, we always enjoy the service from Jess and the food is always delicious. I have to mention that the view is just spectacular. Also love the patio! You must visit—you will not be disappointed.

Tried out Iron Goat breakfast, what a great place for breakfast. I've been living in Canmore for a while now but don't always get the chance to come here. the staff were great super helpful and friendly very easy going and laid back atmosphere which is nice they do pride themselves in using as much local produce as possible that’s what caught my eye and we decided to go here i went for a omelette style breakfast. All in all a good experience breakfast tasty good service was organized staff really good. Looking forward to going back. The prices were reasonable and the views of the mountains were magnificent. Definitely a place to go, sit and relax while having your brunch.

Food was great, staff is friendly. Highly recommended. My favorite is Ahi poke nachos. I'm not sure if they have kids menu, but they provided a clean high chair. I shared a salad with my 14months old baby, she was happy there.

Stop in for a bite to eat, nice spot with a great view. The service was great fairly fast with the point of being seated to the arrival of the meal. I enjoyed the one piece of Fish and Chips it comes close to being one of best fish and chips that I've eaten in Alberta. Glad I only had the one piece as two would of been over Kill. My wife was nice and let me try her back ribs and they had a nice taste but a little dry not huge deal. The pulled Beef Brisket tasted pretty good as well. Only reason I give this visit a 4 and not 5 star was the washroom had nasty urine smell and there also was no soap in the dispenser. But all in all The Iron Goat is a must to visit when in Canmore or passing by. Parking: The Parking is set below the restaurant with good amount spots. But there is two flights of stairs to get to the top. So if your visiting with a elderly person I'd advise to drop them off at the top first.

We were pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant when we missed our turn to the place we intended to eat at in Canmore Sunday night. All of the food was well cooked and perfectly seasoned. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with recommendations of what to order. I’ll be craving the butternut sage ravioli until I visit again! We will also return to checkout the incredible view from the giant windows when it’s not dark and snowing! Thank you for such an enjoyable dining experience!

Sadly missed out on brunch, as they just do it weekends. We shared a nice big plate if nachos, with Cajun chicken. The bean salsa was especially yummy! He had a flight of beer, I had a Floral Butler Spritz. Most items could be gluten free, and they had a dedicated fryer, so their tortilla chips and fries, etc are safe too! The mountain views are amazing, also love the rail carts and general railway theme!

Beautiful rustic decor with amazing views. Friendly staff and great service. Good craft beer selection on tap and the Hikers Delight cocktail went down very easy! The nachos were some of the best we’ve had…recommended!
