The place has good food. Not good Excellent!, servers and polite and attentive. Cannot give a 5 stars because: Hand sanitizer felt like mixed with water . Limited menu options. We order an orange juice and received a juice box. No air extractor at the kitchen. The place was hot and smoky. I think a 4.5 stars is too much for a place with this kind of limitations
As I said to the people at the restaurant, I have moved 10 years ago to Canada from Italy and their menu made me feel at home. Their carpaccio was outstanding, same for the mussels. I have not tried their pizza because I was too busy with the rest, so I left that to the kids. I also had a slice of lemon pie and it was made with real lemons. I also tried the chocolate cake and it was perfect too, not too sweet and perfectly warm. It was Sunday and they had a small and very busy crew working, so don't expect to go in and get your food as fast as any fast food. That is a REAL restaurant and quality needs time. I'll definitely go back!
Delicious!! Quaint peaceful restaurant with unique delicious options. Great service. We started with the appetizer special burrata. For main course I had the Caesar salad with salmon. My mom had the mushroom soup and avocado focaccia. We also had a baguette that was served with olive oil.
Market bistro was the perfect dinner stop after a cold hike. Soup of the day was a creamy tomato which was absolutely fantastic. The French onion soup was also very good, and both paired really nicely with a baguette. We finished off dinner with chocolate cake and ice cream. Everything was amazing and we would absolutely return!
The food was great! We looooved the cheeseboard, nothing negative to say about it! We ordered the duck confit, pizza margherita and the french onion soup. The duck was extremely good, and the pizza was great as well. The soup was slightly too salty, but it was not bad. For dessert, we had the lemon pie and tiramisu. The lemon pie was fresh and delicious. The tiramisu’s cream tasted more like whip cream, it was not very flavourful. Overall, our experience was great. Clean place to eat.
Had an excellent meal! The service was great, and the food so fresh and flavourful. My husband and I came for my 40th birthday, and we were not disappointed. We started with the muscles, then I had the flat iron steak, my husband had the pappardelle. Everything was cooked perfectly and so full of flavour. We can't say enough about our experience here. We highly recommend you give this place a try. If we lived in Canmore we'd be regulars.
Absolutely incredible flavours in every dish. The CAPRESE SALAD was excellent with the fresh burrata, the EGGPLANT tasted great with the melted cheese & tomatoes. The STEAK however I think was slightly more medium than medium-rare as I had asked and the amount of peppercorns overpowered the sauce a little. The GF CHOCOLATE CAKE was melt in your mouth type - made with some form of a gluten free flour mix and almond milk I was incredibly impressed with this cake. Overall I think this restaurant is overpriced, but the food is excellent.
This restaurant has to be one of the best hidden gems in Canmore. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked simply amazing. The service was wonderful too. Somethings to try on the menu are the meatball appetizer, the chicken penne, and the tiramisu.
We really enjoyed our evening at the Market Bistro which is a bit off the main drag of the town of Canmore itself - a short drive up the highway but well worth it. The space was very cozy and warm. We enjoyed the carpaccio to start as well as the salmon and scallop tartare - a definite highlight of the meal which was all entirely delicious. For mains, I had the salmon and prawns and my partner had the spaghetti carbonara. The portions weren't overly big, just satisfying. Charu was our attentive server, very friendly and helpful. Great night!
Great vibe and experience in Canmore! The staff was welcoming and very friendly. The food was delicious! I’d recommend the Pollo Penne, Steak Panzanella, and Creme Brulee! Highly recommended to have a reservation :
