Safeway Newton Town Centre

This particular Safeway is unique. They have everything that you need right at your convenience, They even have a gasbar for your vehicle. I highly recommend this Safeway, it is a great asset to this community.

Typical large store. Bakery had no one working it, sign said to visit customer service for assistance, Which was at the other end of the store. Ask a eployee for help they paged over intercom for someone to go to bakery,waited 10 minuter, no one showed up, asked another employee for help the paged again, waited 5 more minutes and there were 5 other people waiting now and no one showed up. Finally gave up on bakery help went to Save-on-Foods for bakery items.

I have been going to the Safeway for years and have always had great service but this is one of the Safeways that will soon be closing. I will be sorry to see it go because it is convenient for me to shop there. I go there specifically for their Bakery items, one of the best grocery stores for baked goods. Now I will have to go to the Safeway on Scott Road by 72nd Avenue or the Safeway on King George and 104th.

Very friendly staff wish it wasn't closing down may 5th I think it will be a very sad day especially for the hole (nabourhood)there are so many apartments and elderly people that are almost dependant on a friendly family type of store unlike most other stores. going to be a very sad day I kinda think they call it Safeway for an odd fact they seam to always be near a bus loop befor they purposely started doing it and I don't even want to say what there going to call it😓

It's a grocery store. How worked-up can you possibly get about it. No specialty sections, just another run-of-the-mill grocery store.
