Kumare Restaurant and Bakery

If you like Filipino food and would like a restaurant that is not ‘turo-turo’ style then this is a good place to come try. The menu has a lot of different options to choose from. The sinigang and pork bbq are generally my favourite Filipino food and the flavours are on point with how they should taste. However, I wouldn’t say anything is pulling me to come back. Also, the service is not very attentive.. they do not come and check in on you at all. If you need something you have to go up to the counter to get their attention. Overall, this is an authentic Filipino restaurant that I would recommend to others if try if they never had our cuisine and don’t already have a Filipino friend to feed them this food at their home ;

Our go to Filipino Restaurant near our place. Whenever I crave for Kare Kare, Sisig and Dinakdakan, this is the place. They have awesome baked goods too from hopia, Ube is my favourite to Brazo de Mercedes. Food is yummy and affordable, service is great too

The amount of food you get for the price?!?! Almost $30 for maybe 10pcs of squid?!? There was 3 pcs of meat and all vegetables in the kare kare? I understand inflation but seriously?!? Wow!

Nice cozy Philippino restaurant that serves yummy food. I'm often taken there by my Philippino friends and they just handle the ordering. All I do is just be there ... eat... and pay my portion lol Never had to worry about what comes since so far nothing disappointed me

Had dine in. Food was decent but service was slow. Went to do take out after the meal and get a couple things to go and they forgot to give me one of my items and didn't give me my change either. Update: Went for take out, service was better this time.

Ordered pork sisig for to go and they gave us warm burnt pork and the serving was less. The food looked and tasted like a leftover from yesterday’s serving.

Ordered Tofu Pancit for take out which was not on the menu. They happily accommodated. I enjoyed it very much. The aroma of garlic was really strong if you are fond of it. I would’ve much preferred it though if there were more vegetables like broccoli, snap peas, mushrooms among others not just carrots and celery. Food always cooked fresh. The staff are friendly in person and over the phone. F

Excited to find this Filipino restaurant in Surrey. Bought 2 platters-$80+ and $112 for meat platter- worst expensive seems reheated left over food cooked. Unchewable burnt ends lumpia shanghai. My aunt 94 y/o cannot even chew or swallow for fear of choking. Only 2 BBQ sticks in a $112 meat platter. Extra Small cut crispy pata on the platter. Only plain Soup stock served included w Platters. Paying Canadian $330 is not cool for these 2 platters. Sticky uncleaned floors. The worst Filipino restaurant I have ever tried in my entire 60 yrs of life. Horrible experience. Hope u wont get tricked on a reunion get together like what we did meeting family in Surrey.

We went on a Tuesday afternoon and place was quiet. Ordered goto, tokwat baboy, tapsilog and shanghai. Best goto I’ve had. I wanted a lemon but cashier was busy and kitchen person lent me my lemon Fair price and amazing food

Authentic Filipino food will recommend to others and nice service and staff .. Good experience over all. Needs to improve the washrooms . Following COVID-19 protocols
