We celebrated my husbands birthday at s o m e w h e r e dine bar. We sat outside, the atmosphere was nice and appreciated the heaters. The food was very delicious and the presentation was beautiful! Our waitress was really nice and provided great service! I appreciated how she followed the note I had left when booking the reservation online. We were satisfied with the service and would recommend!

I was very very impressed with somewhere dine bar. Went on Valentine’s Day, and was greeted by multiple sweet servers. The restaurant’s interior is pleasing and aesthetic. We ordered Grilled Moroccan Octopus as appetizers, and Trofie Pasta and Grilled Salmon as our main dishes. I was surprised by the portion of all, especially the octopus. All dishes were of high quality food, with visual proofs. I would say this restaurant serves better than other top restaurants, and I would recommend others to visit.

Had dinner here-didn’t love it. We had: -Oysters: These were buck a shuck so don’t expect amazing flavor. I found the taste alright although some oysters were more bitter than others -Octopus: The octopus itself was cooked perfectly and seasoned simply so we could enjoy the natural taste of the meat. However the sides didn’t suit it; the addition of grilled pears created a confusing flavor combination. There were also bell peppers in there that made the dish even more sweet.. -Truffle Risotto: My least favorite dish. The rice was dry and the sauce was excessively cheesy. Bad texture and taste. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, but the lighting is awful. It gives off nightclub vibes. The food they serve is on the fancier side so the poor lighting really ruins the presentation and therefore part of the dining experience.

Location is pretty, we sat outside and it gives like a fancy backyard feel but maybe I came too early in the night because I found this place a little overhyped. It wasn't really a vibe which is what I was expecting but then again maybe it takes a while into the night to get there. We also ordered some food and it was just okay. Service however was actually pretty pleasant the waitress even gave me a virgin alternative everytime my friends ordered shots so I can still participate!

The main downside is the cost - for what you're paying, it's not worth it: average meal, average cocktails, for nearly double the price of similar places. I guess you're paying for the ambiance and service, which were great. I also can't help but notice they are very limited on vegetarian options. We overall had a good time but I don't think we'll be back. Vegetarian options: Super limited. They used to have vegetable japanese dumplings, which they now added chicken to. If I remember well, the only vegetarian option was the burger with the Beyond Meat replacement for an extra 3$. Kid-friendliness: There were kids present but I'm not sure they were appreciated by the rest. Parking: Limited street parking. We parked at a nearby parking lot and walked about 5-10 mins.

My girlfriend and I were in Ottawa for her birthday, and I managed to get a reservation at the somewhere dinner. The service was excellent and the food was good, like really good. The Japanese dumplings we had were some of the best we've eaten so far, meanwhile my main pasta dish was also really tasty. Since it was my girlfriend's birthday, they brought out 2 slices of cake for the both of us on the house! I would definetly recommend this spot for a small birthday celebration to anyone that wants a cozy place around the byward market area!

We went to s o m e w h e r e tonight to celebrate a 15th wedding anniversary. They were so accommodating when I wanted to bring in some things to decorate our tables- even helping me out! James is bartender extraordinaire and we’ll definitely be coming back for cocktails soon. Aurel was our server and it was so busy but he took excellent care of our bigger group. Food was delicious and so beautifully presented. It’s on the pricier side but so worth it- especially for a special occasion. Sadly it was pouring rain so we didn’t get to sit out on the patio but we will be back! The blackened jerk chicken was to die for! And the Japanese dumplings we had as a starter- yummy! Recommend 100%

very juicy beef very delicious pasta. I came here without plan, but this restaurant really gave me a surprise. Staff here also friendly.

My friend and I came here for dinner last week and absolutely adored every bit of it. We loved our appetizers and mains so much to the point where we left nothing else in the plate lol. Our server Chloe was awesome and so was the bartender! The staff really made it even more special.

I was here last week for a friends birthday. The food took over an hour to come. I ordered the steak frites with truffle fries. The truffle fries were good but the steak was cold and lacked flavour. I’ve been there before and it was but last week October 15,2022, I was disappointed.
