Golden One Fried Chicken

Golden One Fried Chicken was my big discovery this week. Well prepared and not over-seasoned, the fried chicken was perfect!! The portion size was fair for the price and, important for me, all of the packaging was recyclable and sustainable. Great job and it will become one of my regular spots for sure.

Light and thinly coated fried chicken. Large size is always a whole chicken. However, I never can have green onion option despite being on the menu as it is never available nor in stock. But I simply love the thinly crusted and light flakes of fried chicken from here. None of those greasy oil fried lumps like most pubs and KFC. We had original and cheese. Cheese was a bit too heavy ….. original wins the days again at the end of the day!!! As for indoor dining, they only have barrel top tables and a few stools. So perhaps take out would be a better option cause it has neither ambiance nor comfort !!! Yet, I will be back again to eat more fried chicken!!!!

Super crispy and juicy fried chicken. My order was made fresh on the spot and I left with piping hot chicken straight from the fryer, with a side of fries. I couldn't help but give in to a bite or two after leaving, eating that juicy chicken while walking. This might be my new chicken spot in this part of the neighborhood.

Ordered on UberEats and got their Gyoza, boneless chicken with hot & spicy sauce, and rice cakes. The gyoza was crispy, but the filling was underwhelming. There was no dip for them either which I found unusual. Rice cakes had a good flavour but the texture was a little inconsistent, some were really tough and some were tender. The chicken had great flavour, the sauce was delicious, and it was tender and juicy. But I found it not as crispy as I'd like. The odd bite was perfectly crispy, and if the whole thing was like that, I'd give them a 5/5. But those perfect bites were few and far between. Maybe it lost some of the crunch in transit or something. I'd be willing to give them another shot though, overall it was quite good.

I ordered the small golden mustard fried chicken for $21.99+tax. Sorry it's half eaten in the picture hehe. Pros: • kind & fast service • seasoning is good Cons: • sooo stingy with the sauce, I mean look at the photo there's barely any covering the chicken, and it's $1 extra for a tiny packet on the side. I had to go home and use my own ketchup and mayo for any flavour • some cooked perfectly, some chicken overcooked

Dining environment is not that good. But food is delicious. I ordered half&half seasoning + cheese. I’d recommend take out/ delivery.

Came back to edit my review that I tried the boneless original no sauce and still so freaking good. Eating leftovers a day later after popping it in the air fryer, chicken is still juicy. Finally, decent spice in Korean fried chicken. Dakgogi and gogiya can’t touch this. I actually feel my mouth tingling. But it still tastes sweet. Didn’t come with radish though.

The golden mustard Chicken was pretty good! And maybe the spicy sauce is a bit spicy for me, but its still tasty worth a short

Great service, delicious crispy flavorful chicken!! We got the cheesy chicken and seasoned chicken with rice cakes and they give you complimentary kimchi!! Will be back soon for sure.

Fried chicken is crispy and nice but hot and spicy sauce has zero spice and extremely sweet, however, has a decent taste. Their original fried chicken is probably under-seasoned. No typical complementary sides like pickled radish but they provide a soft drink. They have a lunch special with fried chicken and fries. Very convenient location. Prices and portion sizes are on par with other Korean fried chicken locations. Staff are friendly and service is good.
