First visit to this great park was memorable. A sunny October day that started off frosty but warmed up nicely. Huge sporting fields beside the pitch-and-putt golf course with nearby tennis courts, too. There’s a perimeter walk around the golf course with lots of green space views and natural features. The park was ifficult to find, even with with GPS apps. Go east on Charles St. and at the end is the Pitch and Putt parking and entrance. Enjoy!
Nice little park with a great ball diamond. Short trails. Parking isn't great Restrooms: Seems like they share the facilities with the pitch and put but they're decent
My 2 sons and I walked around the park path and enjoyed the black berries and nature. We saw the little golf course in the park. There was also 2 fields being used for sports. Also a tennis area. However the playground is a dirt pit full of gross sand. It was such a dirty play ground experience my son suggested we go for a walk instead. I belive they should replace the cat litter box sand with pebbles or wood chips. The play ground is the reason I will not give a 5 star.
Rupert park is a very large park and is well known as a golf course but there is much more than a golf course. There is a couple of sports fields, tennis courts, washrooms, and playgrounds. There is also some trails doing a complete circle around the perimeter of the park. Rupert’s attractive, open views create a wonderful setting for walking or playing in one of the sport fields. There is plenty of space for children’s play and picnics in the upper half of the park; or, slip through the trees on paths that open up to the ponds and rolling greens of the pitch ‘n’ putt. History Once destined for a shopping mall this uniquely located park was set aside for the public’s enjoyment in 1965. Thankfully, a dedicated Vancouver Park Board and a diligent community convinced City Council that the east side of the city needed parkland more than a shopping facility. Rupert Park was officially named in January 1967 and opened as the Park Board’s third pitch & putt golf course in 1971. Its main distraction was a major highway bisecting its rolling greenswards. In 1995 the park was completely refurbished and the road removed making the property whole once again. New fields, a renovated golf course and redesigned fieldhouse plus a perimeter pathway give this neighbourhood park a multifaceted feel.
What a great park! Pitch and putt, wildgrasses, kids playground, birds and bees and huge lawns for lounging. Right beside Hwy1 so traffic noise is in the distance but on breezy days, even that fades. No parking issues as it's a quiet hood. Go for sure!
A lovely park with great big fields x2. One field has a baseball diamond. Note that the fields get mucky after a good rain. There are public washrooms but lately September they've been locked. Next to the nicest pitch and putt golf course in the City of Vancouver. Fantastic views of the North Shore mountains.
I found this park by accident on a long walk. It's on a hill with a bit of a view of the city. There is a basebill diamond that sits right in top of it. There are also tennis courts that are tucked down almost out of site below the diamond for some more private secluded matches. There was a path around that entire part of the park that had a lot of joggers on it. To my surprise there was also golf behind it!?! I'm fairly new to this city so I thought that was cool and kind of funny to find in a city.
It's a chill park for a walk or to play. There are seats around making it a nice place to go in the evening.
Nice not too crowded park that happens to be in front of my place...
Really good playground for mixed aged children. They have stuff for the little ones and the bigger kids.
