Royal Coachman

We have attended the Coachman a few times. Tonight my dinner choice was fried chicken, mashed and coleslaw. The carrots, corn and potatoes were good. Coleslaw was delicious, very creamy. I was not fond of the chicken. Found it to be burning one side and mushy inside. My hubby ordered fish and chips. Chips were done to perfection. He was not fond of the food sh as the batter was a little undercooked inside. All in all service was good and meal came quickly.

Have been here before on the patio for just drinks and had good experiences. This was our first time sitting inside and ordering dinner. Beer selection was good. I'm not usually picky about pub food but the food was not something to return for. The fish and chips was unseasoned and the batter was mushy/not fried well. The cottage pie was really salty and had chewy pieces of bacon in it. The inside of the restaurant was dim and dated which I appreciate in a pub, but the old benches and carpet smelled a bit musty on a rainy day.

I have been here twice and each time the food is absolutely delicious! Their outdoor patio is my favourite! The flowers are beautiful and the high top Maskoka tables are extremely comfortable. Parking is suffice in the back lot. I love the variety of their menu. It’s not cheap, but it is worth it. My husband is hard to impress and he loved his meal mushroom and Swiss burger.

Had the pleasure of having lunch with dear friends. We were treated like gold. They remembered our guests and said welcome back.nThe Cajun Haddock was great and gluten free! The Greek salad was delicious. Our friends had the chicken salad sandwich and fries. As well as the seafood soup with beer bread. Yummy! We shared a bottle of Savignon Blanc wine.nSince we hadn't gotten together for a fair bit we had alot to catch up on.nAt no point was our meal rushed. We were welcome to stay as long as we wanted.nThank you Carissa and the chefs and staff who took such great care of us!

Great experience! Food was terrific. Tasted like we were in England. Server was down to earth. Atmosphere was relaxed. Some of the benches could use updating/repair, but overall great experience.
