Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Okay, Looking at some of these bad reviews I see one thing in common... they don't like the prices. Well, they give you an estimate BEFORE doing the work so you 1 and 2 star people did not have to agree to the work to be done if you did not like it. NOW, my visit was pretty great. Derrick was my tech and he came out at the promised time, called when on the way and was very polite! I did not like the price too much either, but I also know plumbing is not cheap. The experience was great and our problem was fixed within an hour. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I do not like the fact that I have to pay for a warranty, the work should be guaranteed for at least 3 months and it should not cost me. Other than that, I enjoyed my first time experience.

Extremely accomodating and fast! Had an appointment scheduled between 2-6pm. They called me around 2:30pm to ask if they could send someone. I was still at work and requesting to be placed at a later time. They asked what time and accommodated my 4 pm request. A technician was at my house around 6pm, perfect. He worked fast and efficiently and check all my toilet pipes to make sure everything was in working order before he left. Great company

Called a plumber for pipes that were freezing from the cold. Plumber couldn't come until 2 days after calling (even though we were guaranteed same day service). He fixed a pipe that burst. Had running water for 2 days, after $800 worth of repairs. Left our crawlspace open. Called back for the EXACT SAME ISSUE, no running water, which we suspected was from frozen pipes. Charged us $2000, for running water for 2 days. Claimed to have finally put heat tape on pipes to prevent them from freezing (which we specifically asked him to do the first time but he insisted that to do this we needed to make a separate appointment, and incur another trip charge), and fixed yet another leak from the pipes freezing. Stayed past midnight when I had to work early the next day. Spent 6 hours removing water from the crawl space just so that he could make the repairs, which if he showed the day after I had called, maybe there wouldn't have been so much water, however it literally took them almost 3 days to come out the second time. Spent at least another 4 hours total driving to go get parts that he needed. For 2 days everything seemed to work. And now two of my sinks have no cold water at all and low water pressure for hot water. These guys are a scam. They literally put band aids on fixes so that you continue to call them to fix things. Also, the plumber literally was charging us an hourly rate while he was in his van warming up from the cold weather. While I don't mind him warming up, I ABSOLUTELY SHOULD NOT BE CHARGE FOR YOUR BREAKS. Take them on your own time, not mine. I also should not be charged for the excessive amount of time it took for him to hunt down parts that I feel like should have been in his truck. 2 weeks later, and $3,000 we still don't have running water. This company should be ashamed charging people for a "skilled trade" when they can neither fix nor identify the problem.

I was highly impressed with the professionalism and customer service that Roto-Rooter provided through my entire situation. The communication was very thorough and detailed, the service I received was impressive. I dealt with one phone dispatcher and one service technician and they couldn't have been a better reflection of a great company. Thank you very much for showing what true customer service and politeness is all about! Hopefully I do not need service again any time soon, but if I do - I know where I am calling.

We needed someone come out to fix a deep clog and 3 days later I'm still waiting. I called to cancel the service today, and the operator actually hung up on me after I told her they shouldn't advertise 24/7 service if they can't come through. She also hung up on me when I tried to call back (3 times!) Very strange and sort of funny. But if my pipes were overflowing I would not be laughing. Definitely never calling root-rooter again. They should train their employees to be more professional.
