BAKERS TAKE NOTICE!nPurchased LG LSE4611ST stove, $1900, from Rona April 2022. There where oven performance issues so contacted LG warranty tec, who despite knowing about defective redesign, stated there weren't any problems with oven and refused to check under warranty. Had been sold Camerco extended warranty protection, so I contacted them. It wasn't until Jan 2025 that experienced appliance tec discovered, to my surprise, my stove did not have a bottom element. He had never seen this before. Most stoves are designed with this element to be hidden under the oven floor. Research indicated a broken or a missing bottom element had issues similar to problems I was having. Mar 01, a Rona Mgr contacted Camerco, said stove was defective and Camerco should refund purchase price but Camerco rejected all repair and no lemon claims. Talked to Rona again and was told Rona knew that oven redesign had removed the bottom element but they didn't need to disclose and that discontinuance of model also didn't need to be disclosed. Eventually Camerco rejected all claims because stove not eligible for extended warranty protection because of known design problems. Rona sold me extended warranty protection without disclosing oven problems would not be covered. Rona has not responded to me and has not responded to correspondence from Better Business Bureau.nUpdate: After many months Rona has been touch and issue is being resolved.nnPictures show how oven is inconsistent with set temp and inconsistency changes with each use.

Stopped by the North Vancouver Rona Beachcomber section to pick up a Brome Tote and a few other items. We had the exact shopping list from Beachcomber and were ready to buy. Instead, we were told by Craig that we couldn’t access the in-store discount unless we came back on a weekday to speak with the “official” person in charge, Mark, who wasn’t there that day.nnCraig - who was completely uninformed - called Mark who explained that before we could get the discount, we’d need to schedule and complete a 30-minute conversation with him to “get into their program.” It felt like an unnecessary barrier and a very odd requirement just to make a purchase.nnWe had driven in from downtown specifically to shop there, so being told to come back another day — after making the trip — wasn’t a great customer experience. Ironically, the checkout clerk gave us the discount immediately without any issues, which highlighted how needless the whole runaround was.nnWe left with the items we needed, but the sales approach made a straightforward purchase far more adversarial and complicated than it needed to be.

During a recent visit, I realized I had forgotten my credit card and couldn’t complete my purchase. In an extraordinary act of kindness, the cashier Shirin give me great help to finish my work,Thank you very much.I love RONA.

Worst RONA store ever!nThis place is a complete mess. The management is terrible and clearly doesn’t care. Shelves are always missing parts, products are incomplete, and the staff seems completely unorganized. Every time I come here, I end up wasting my time and leaving empty-handed. It’s honestly not worth coming here — you’ll just get frustrated and disappointed.

Friendly staff, well-stocked and locally owned! I feel comfortable shopping here, as a woman, having been treated with a lot of condescension at other North Shore hardware stores, just for asking about which aisle to find a, b or c.nnCan’t wait to visit again. My little assistant had a great time too.
