This Romeo's restaurant never disappoints. They pulled out all the stops to work through Covid. Very good food in a nice atmosphere. Take away pizza's are popular. TV's to catch your favourite event if you have an interest. Family run business that steps up and has so many good family recipes. Kid-friendliness: Kids eat too - bring them along. It was a very nice experience for the most part. It wasn't full and we got seated next to a large party of loud old men which was unpleasant but they left quickly. Nice place. Good pizza.Food: 4/5
I took my mother out for lunch and asked her where she wanted to go and she said she hadn’t been to Romeo’s in a long time. I asked if she had a preference to which location and she said the Hillside restaurant because she liked the atmosphere there. Due to Covid protocols we had to wait outside until the hostess came to get us and take us to our table. Considering the hoops restaurants have to jump through to remain open during these times of pandemic uncertainty, we appreciated the extra steps the staff took to ensure everyone’s safety! My mother had their Buffalo chicken wrap but without the hot sauce as she doesn’t have much tolerance to spicy food. I had their fish tacos. The food was excellent. Portions were surprisingly generous, the food was fresh and hot as very flavorful. It had been a long time since I’d been to any Romeo’s but this experience had me wondering why because the overall experience was extremely enjoyable.
Nice place to take family. The service is great and it has a nice atmosphere. The food is fine, nothing to rave about but always decent. Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level entrance.
Romeo’s food is amazing, and always has been. But calling the Hillside location to inquire about my online order left me frustrated enough to cancel it. I then received a text message saying “sorry pickup order cancelled, customer error.” My only error was trying order from there.
The pizza I ordered was good, The crust was nice and crispy, just the way I like it. Service was very good, but the hostess was a piece of work. The place was virtually empty and she seemed to be annoyed I had to be seated. Maybe I interrupted all the SO many task she was busy with. Didn't distract from the the good food and excellent service. Place is real nice looking and clean.
My grandfather has been coming here since they opened. He says this is his favourite place for dinner. They accomidated our large party, with little notice, with no hesitation. It is a classic decor but has several TVs if you want to watch sports. 3 of us had the pasta special. It was flavourful but I found mine was a touch dry. My aunt raved about the baked spaghetti that she gets most times they come here. Anna was new but did great taking care of us.
We've been on the road as a family for 10 days and this was the best restaurant we ate at the entire trip. Our server Colleen was phenomenal! She was kind and welcoming and we felt like old friends from the moment she approached our table. The pasta was amazing and there was plenty of sauce. Everyone enjoyed our meals and the cost was completely reasonable. We even took a pizza home and it was delicious! We loved Romeos and will make this a regular spot now that we have settled in Victoria.
If you want classic cheesy pizza, this is one of the best places in town. I have had mixed experiences with the service staff in the many visits I've been to the restaurant.Food: 4/5
