Rodeway Inn Yreka

Beware! Read this before you book a room. The most important thing in a hotel room is the bed. A run down room can be overlooked if the bed is comfortable. The bed I "slept" in last night was not at all comfortable. If you like sleeping on a slab of concrete covered with a mattress protector and a sheet then this is your place! After an 8 hour drive, I wanted a soft place to land before having to drive another 6 hours the next day to get home. The shower head is leaking creating mold in the bathroom. In general the bathroom was in poor shape. BUT THE BED!!! I was jealous of the cot that my son was sleeping on. My husband and I got maybe 3 hours of painful sleep. Never again!

Warm owner, great price. Clean rooms, great amenities: fridge, microwave, coffee maker, wifi, pool, ac in room continental breakfast. Lovely flowers out front. Building is dated, but seemed well maintained and bedding and furniture have been refreshed. Room smelled clean, great find and affordable for a stopping point on a long drive!

Great experience. Room was clean. TV was nice and had all the channels I was expecting. The people running the Inn are very kind and were wonderful to chat with. It definitely is a budget Inn with smaller beds, dated bathrooms, and fluorescent light bulbs. But a clean safe place to stay is what I look for and I found that here. The breakfast was meager but had everything I expected for a budget stop including cereal, toast, pastries, OJ etc. We will certainly stay again next time we're passing through.

We stayed just one night on the way back to SF after watching the eclipse in Oregon. Traffic was horrible so we decided to wait it out for the night. The hotel was perfect. A clean room with a working TV, clean bathroom and friendly laid back staff.

It was a nice place. I had no complaints until the morning when I left I was completely covered in bed bug bites. My legs were covered in bites and I was itchy the whole rest of my trip up to Oregon. I highly recommend the owner disinfect the beds and boxsprings. Other than that it was nice.
