Motel 6 Weed - Mount Shasta

I don’t often write reviews but I felt compelled. Showed up late and got the last room. It was very cold in the room, but the HVAC was just blowing cold air, no heat. I complained and the front desk staff member, Russian sounding accent, went out of his way to help out. He delivered a comforter and a space heater to the room. I was very thankful and he was very nice about it.nnAs Weed can get down into the low 50s, even in summer, probably important that the hotel be able to at least provide comforters upon request. I’m not super sensitive, but I was cold. I also just flew in from San Diego so there’s that.nnGreat customer service! Room was decent otherwise…. Average Motel 6 quality.

I arrived late at night and was greeted by a very helpful and polite front desk clerk, which made check-in quick and easy. Unfortunately, the housekeeping left a lot to be desired. There was garbage stacked outside when I arrived, and once in the room I realized the bed sheets hadn’t been changed. When I turned them down, I even found a washcloth left in the bed. Thankfully, the clerk immediately got me a new room, which I really appreciated. The friendly service at the desk made a good impression, but the cleanliness issues were hard to overlook.ne hard to overlook.

Do not stay here, worst motel I ever stayed at!nEverything was dirty from the toilet with poop stains, to the hair in the beds, The microwave and fridge were disgusting with food stains and spills inside them. We were given no soap to even wash our hands. The phone did not work, which is a safety hazard. My kids were disgusted, and wanted to sleep in the truck, with the hotel looking so sketchy that was definitely not an option. I would have just left and gotten a different hotel if it wasn’t so late, it was very dark and I didn’t I know the area. I complained that night, and was told I can’t keep changing rooms. And at checkout the next morning the supervisor was no help, said there was nothing she could do about it. She wouldn’t even give me the $10. discount the night crew said he could offer.

Room was not clean. There was no soap, no toilet seat lid, only one towel. The lights did not work. Shower was dirty lots of little hairs all over. BUT the front desk woman working was great. She gets 5 stars.

Housekeeping clearly squirts soft scrub in the toilet but doesn’t use a brush on that or anything else. The bedding seemed clean but we slept on top anyway. This was not a comfortable stay. People were outside yelling at 2 am. If we had any choice to go elsewhere we would have, but it’s nearly impossible to make a change after check in.
