We had an outstanding experience at Roby's Furniture & Appliance. Since the 1970s, we'd bought almost all our furniture and appliances from Rice Furniture in McMinnville. So when Roby's bought the store, we were heartbroken at losing the good, trustworthy, helpful staff of Rice's. Not to worry. They're still there. We live in West Salem. When our refrigerator went out and Craig's Appliance Repair determined it was not worth fixing, we started shopping around. We were on the verge of buying a refrigerator from a big-box store in Salem when we decided to at least visit Roby's. We left Roby's feeling very good about our purchase: an honest price; excellent appliance manager who knew his stuff; and friendly and not pushy service. Our experience with Roby's refrigerator delivery was just as good. The crew had to take off the front door and screen door to get the refrigerator in; they carefully covered it so wouldn't bruise anything and carefully moved other furniture out of the way in our little house as they made their way to the kitchen. Before they left, they put everything back together, made sure everything on the refrigerator was working properly and gave me understandable instructions on how to use the refrigerator. We bought a Maytag, which was not the highest-rated refrigerator in Consumer Reports (which I studied extensively) but the refrigerator was definitely worth the price and the service was outstanding. The manual that came with the refrigerator also is understandable -- and helpful!

Finally moved out of th RV and back into a stick & brick home...needed lots of furniture! At the time, Roby’s was transitioning into what was once Rice Furniture. I purchased several pieces and had them held in the warehouse until I closed on my new home. My items were delivered by an outstanding crew of four. The two which stand out are Andy & Chris. They packed in some incredibly heavy items, many upstairs! Sadly some additional chairs for my dining table were the wrong stain color, another chair cracked trim. Replacements were immediately ordered and delivered by Chris. Unfortunately one of the replacement chairs had a leg with wood of questionable quality. The defect was discovered by the delivery crew when they assembled the chair (Chris). Again, replacements were ordered & delivered. It has been a pleasure doing business with this company.

Had a great experience buying a new Refrigerator at Roby's. Chris and Devin helped install the fridge and they did a great job. They were very polite and considerate as they removed the old fridge and installed the new one. We did a lot of shopping previously with Rice's and plan to continue to shop at Roby's.

Great service from Shelly and delivery from Chris and Devin. They even took my old furniture away for no extra cost. Glad I shopped local.
