Owner, Nicole Winnen, R.Ph., a second generation pharmacist, opened Mac Medical Shop across the street from Mac Prescription Shop’s Historic Downtown location in 2009 and earned Medicare accreditation as a supplier of Home Medical Equipment and supplies. Mac Medical Shop can bill Medicare, Oregon Health Plan, and many other insurance plans. Mac Medical Shop strives to make a difference in the lives of our customers, their caregivers, and our community.

I'm not happy about giving this place even 1 star. This place is HORRIBLE, and this isn't my first encounter with rude and unpleasant employees! The customer service is rediculous. I went in to rent a knee scooter to use after ankle reconstruction surgery. On Friday the lady behind the counter and the assistant on the floor couldn't be bothered to help with my rental and suggested we come back Monday to speak with the manager because "she handles all the insurance and billing." My husband went in today and the rude manager, I think her name was Anna, told my husband "they don't bill insurance, this is a cash only place!" We are more than welcome to shell out the $300.00 cash up front to rent it for the 3 months I need it! No way! Workmans Comp covers this stuff 100%, that's why I have a prescription. I just feel like your customer service should be a priority and if you are a cash only establishment, that is good information to share with your customers instead of giving the run around! Good Luck if you choose to rent from here!

Bad customer service yesterday. Gal was very snippy and rude with me. Will not be going back, can get product cheaper on Amazon but have purchased from Mac Medical for years. Disappointed.

Informative, helpful, and cheerful ladies on staff. They know all the ins/outs of insurance and explain it in real people talk without talking down to you.

I recently had a great experience at Mac Medical Shop I would like to share. My son had an ankle injury and had damaged the growth plates. He needed to be in a boot to immobilize his foot and ankle. I figured we would have a hard time finding a boot small enough to fit him. Mac Medical came to our rescue! Not only did they have his size but showed him how to take off and put on and also how to care for his boot (washing is important for a 10 yr old boy). They also billed my insurance and let me know that my claim was pending due to questions my insurance had. We were very pleased by the attention the staff gave us and they were very knowledgeable and friendly. We will be repeat customers for sure!!

The staff in this store act like they do not know what they are doing. One person says one thing and another says something different. Took a month to get a wheelchair for a person who could not walk! Then the wheelchair they gave them had NO working brakes on it. Dangerous! Patronizing. Days and days go by and they do not respond to your Doctor's script for a device. Then they say they can't find the order. They never apologize for their bad customer service. If you need equipment, go elsewhere! Incredibly insulting and frusting.
