Robbie Walkers Fish & Chips

First experience with Robbie's, wont be having another. Went through Just Eat for my delivery order, so half the blame falls of them. Placed my delivery order at 6pm with a 6:45pm delivery time, it is currently 8:37pm, the restaurant is now closed and my food has still not arrived. Utterly ridiculous. Anything that they gave to a delivery driver is now either cold or inedible or both. Wish I could comment on the food, but I never even got to try it. What a freaking joke. Avoid this place like the plague.

Unfortunately, it will be my last time ordering from here. Really wanted to keep liking it, as the first time was really good but the last 3 times the fries were over cooked and the portion size of the fries are not worth the $25 for a two piece fish dinner. I have received better cooked fires and much larger portions elsewhere. Very disappointing as I would have loved to support this fish and chip place.

I just moved to the area yesterday and decided to give this place a try as it was right around the corner. I ordered a double dinner for $22 and when I was passed my order it felt extremely light. I asked the lady behind the counter if there were fries it the bag and she said yes. I then opened the box and there might have been 20 fries I asked for more and was told that was the proper amount I then asked for my money back and was told there is a no money back policy. I had to ask 2 more times for more fries. After receiving my order back there was more grease then fries. Also the menus pricing makes no sense. Please don't waist your money here.

The two males there were off putting for some reason. I had to ask for the cashier's permission to change my fries to a poutine, even though I swear I saw a spot that said "upgrade them for x price" The batter didn't stick to the fish at all. Every bite or cut, fish was dropping into the box. Did I just not wait long enough? I've had plenty of fish where this doesn't happen.. Sure was tasty and cheaper though.

Ordered two cod and chips dinners .... got one 2-piece dinner. Fries seemed to have been cooked a week ago. This was my 2nd time ordering the first experience was excellent, but i cannot order from here again if their quality is this unpredictable.

Having been a longtime customer, i ordered a halibut dinner for two with deep fried mushrooms. Upon arriving at my home and unpacking the meal i was shocked and dismayed at what was packaged, the fish had obviously been re-heated , there were 8 mushrooms in its container that were soggy and greasy, and since i live only a 3 min drive from the Sherwood plaza the fries shouldn't have gotten cold , the same for the fish. Should i go there again i will check to see who is cooking cause this guy tonight didnt either know what he was doing or just didn't care..

Well this will officially be the last order from Walkers. We used to order here so tonight when fish and chips sounded good we didn't hesitate to order from Walkers. WTH? First of all the fries were show strings, which is not what should be served with fish and chips, they were over cooked, and there was hardly any there. The fish...my first piece tasted fishy...I put it down to being cod, starting eating the second piece tasted much better. So I am just hoping I don't end up with food poisoning. I can't believe we paid $55 for what we got, should have gone somewhere else...hell Little Ceasars would have been better.

We went for their Tuesday lunch special yesterday afternoon around 2pm. Guy at counter said they all out of fish for the special. Only fish they have is cod and halibut but it’s nots included in the special. He and the other girl standing there were very rude,disrespectful and ignorant in their tone,attitude and demeaner. As we leaving, a girl that was sitting outside,on the sidewalk smoking a cigarette, walked inside and went straight behind the counter. As I was starting the car, I could see her say something to the other 2 and then they started laughing. What a horrible experience. We will never go there again and will let everyone know about Walkers fish and chips lack of respect for their customers. Customer service is severely lacking here. Terrible,terrible experience. SHAME on you Walkers fish n chips.

Interesting fact.....a delivery order through just-eat, of 2 double cod dinners was going to cost us $42 and change. 2 x $14.99 +hst, delivery fee and the pre calculated "tip". But my partner and I decided to pick up the order to save the few bucks on delivery. He returms home, with food and a receipt for $49 and change, upset because the cashier told him "thats just how it is, just-eat prices are different". The fries were less than desirable, the fish pretty good even though it was the greasiest fish I'd ever seen. Such a dissapointment. Been going here for many yeaes, hadn't been in sometime....wont be going back again.

Took over 20 minutes for a simple milkshake. Incredibly disappointing service. The milkshake was good, but not to wait for that long. The front was dirty and they were incredibly disorganized. Edit: 50 minutes and I finally received my milkshake. But the owner did give it to me for free because of the wait.
