Had a great experience here. Stopped in late on Saturday of a holiday weekend and was able to get a full hookup on the water. Beautiful setup. Manager told me exactly what our charges were. We asked about monthly rates for another time and she was very upfront about how our site would be extra in summer months due to dock that goes with it. Interior site are less. Makes sense to me. Had a great time and wish we were still there.
Stayed here for our inaugural RV experience, & it was perfect! Everyone employees & guests was helpful, friendly, and patient. We can now camp with confidence, thanks to all the great help we received. The waterfront site was beautiful, and well priced. We would highly recommend staying here, & plan to return for a longer duration. Thank you!!!!
I stayed here for about 9 months while in the area for work. I enjoyed my time there, Ron and Karen are great, Veronic was really nice the one time i had the chance to meet her. Great hospitality at this place and I'll definitely be going back if I find myself in the area again
I rented a FULL hookup pull through site. I spoke with Veronica. I got there and I was told by the manager, Ron, that they don’t have pull through sites. Ron, made a space for me without septic, which was what I called “The GHETTO “ For the first month in June it was fine but then I find out that I couldn’t use my air conditioner because I wasn’t hooked up to the proper amps. Then one day I was laying on my couch “trying to cool off” watching a movie when I looked up and John, the owner had his face pressed against my windshield with his hands around his eyes. I threw on my robe and ran outside and asked him What are you doing? He replied “I just wanted to see if you have electricity “ All he had to do is look at the meter and plugs into the electric box. Stay away from this campground!
We dealt with Veronica and Ron during our month stay. They were pleasant to deal with and accommodated our needs. It was nice waking up to a lake front, but I might be biased since I love any body of water. It’s a quiet campground. You can hear the occasional train and some noise from the power plant, nothing too bothersome. The rent is affordable compared to other campgrounds in the area. Needless to say, it was a pleasant stay!
My dad had brought me to the camp ground and immediately I was so Ecstatic, the surrounding areas are absolutely beautiful. The campground is Quite literally a bike ride away from so many different sites. Such as, there is multiple very nice bike trails along with a very accessible beach several miles away, parks and more!. Ice cream and other small shops in the town. The minute Veronica had seen my brother and I on bikes she immediately made sure we knew about all of the fun things to do. We appreciate her so much! We won’t ever be able to forget our stay with you guys. Everyone in the campground was so welcoming and the view is breathtaking, waking up to walk outside to a beautiful river with so many different kind of boats, from recreational boats to huge cargo-like ships. From the views to the activities to the people it was an experience I will treasure. I can’t wait to come back!
I was there to visit a friend of a friend. I found the ambience of the campground fantastic. The view on river and the tributary were as good as it gets. There was a regular flow of boats going by on the riverit was only a couple hundred feet to the river and people were kayaking along the tributary to the other side to see the rest of the river. Overall if you are looking for a campsite that is secluded but lively. This is the campground for you.
I made the mistake of booking here and boy did we regret it. I should have read the other reviews as they are right. Veronica does NOT tell you the charges upfront and then she adds on as many charges as she can. We were charged $67/night PLUS an additional $40/night in fees! So not worth it for this campground. She charges us $105/week for electricity in addition to our nightly fee. In comparison we paid $14/week for electric as our last campground.. She wanted to charge us $130/week for the dock we never asked for or used. We didn’t have a picnic bench, fire pit, and our spot was recently dug up so it was loose dirt coming in. The water view the advertise is a industrial yard what works 24/7! It’s a noisy night with vehicles moving and beeping going all all night long. What a disaster. Beware.
This campgrounds atmosphere is unbeatable! It’s tucked quiet in trees, and biking distance from trails and beaches! I must say, there isn’t a feeling like rolling into river raisin and being welcomed by friendly neighbors who always wanna cookout and have fun at the end of a long work day or even just to soak in a vaycay. #1 campground in Michigan to me
Very welcoming staff. The river view is quite industrial so you are better off asking for a site away from the river. Great location and best for overnighters.
