Rice and Noodles

Rice and Noodles is an appropriately named fast food outlet. This particular location is a bit hidden as it's on the back end of Highgate in Burnaby so you don't really see it unless you're looking for it. They serve up a collection of various asian carb based dishes with a fiery wok that's similar to what you see at some other notable fast food places. The ingredients tend to be updated or fusion takes on classic dishes like green curry chicken or pad Thai. I liked the fresh veggies in the green curry but they definitely aren't what you'd expect with a traditional recipe. As expected, the high heat from the wok gives a nice texture to the pad Thai noodles. Service is pretty good. You order at the counter and they will bring the dish to your table. The loud afterburner noise from the wok when cooking is a bit distracting. But otherwise, it's a fairly quiet place to grab a quick bite.

Reasonable prices for your rice and or noodle fix. I had the Laksa soup and the missus had Pad Thai. They have a very hot wok and the food is prepared very quickly and tasty. The restaurant is clean as the business is still relatively new. You can help yourself to tap water but make sure the cup is clean.

Pretty tasty Thai food prepared as you order it. It was prepared quite quickly in front of me. The system is counter service, but they will bring your food order to your table after you pay at the counter. Portions were moderate not large but just enough to feel satisfied. I found the Pad Thai to taste a bit too “ketchupy” but the texture of the rice noodles was bang-on with a bit of chewiness. The green curry was very good. Nicely set up to customize your protein choice and heat level. Prices are very fair. I’d definitely return as a repeat customer when craving a quick Asian meal.

My fav spot for Thai dishes. I have been dining in and ordering take out here for thousands times but just take pictures of some of the dishes. Good Thai food with full topping, the store is spacious, light and super clean. The atmostphere is great and chill. Also the server is very helpful and attentive

Food is good nothing special. Only thing I wish is they add more meat because it's big bowl of noodles. I tried the Laksha. But for the price, great. Cool n welcoming atmosphere. Quick and friendly service. Not so busy even during rush hours. Free and ample parking in high gate mallFood: 4/5

Love this place. Clean and fast but moreover, the food is really good!! Bit spicy than I thought though. Anyway so happy to find nice place to eat near by home.

Fair price for the amount of food per dish, just enough to be a satisfying dinner! My family ordered the Pad See Ew, Mongolian Stirfry and Yellow Curry. The spice levels are accurate to the number, but even mild had a fair kick. Nice, but perhaps a little subdued, flavours. I enjoyed the yellow curry the only dish on their menu that is vegan and GF and they were able to remove one of the veggies due to dietary restrictions. I just wish they had more GF and vegan options for their rice or soup dishes! Either way, will be back for the food.

Amazing restaurant wonderful service and delicious food. We went there for the first time today and ordered thai red curry and kung pao, both of them were made fresh, good portion size, clean place, and cheap prices. Will definitely be returning back to try more dishes

Been here twice and counting. The food is fresh, tasty and prepared quickly on the spot. They also use a lot of fresh ingredients like veggies in the dishes and the decor is clean and modern. Note that the place is actually behind Highgate/Kingsway despite the map pin.

The price is pretty good in my opinion. Staffs are nice. I like the food i ordered and it looks like you’re in an expensive restaurant based on the plates All these are my opinion... Place: its not tight and wont be crowded Food taste: Pretty good Presentation: also good Service: mostly nice : Price: compared to overall service, it’s pretty cheap so its a good deal.
