Chef Rong Noodle House

Fantastic tasting beef broth. So good; I slurped it dry. By far one of the best tasting Beef Tendon and Tripe Rice Noodle dish I ever had. Tendon and Tripe was not too soft. It had just the right bite to it. There was a bit of pickled cabbage that added to the taste of the beef broth. I’m a big fan of pickled vegetable in soup. For an extra dollar; they’ll throw in a marinated egg. The dish comes with free green tea. The service is very fast. This is a CASH ONLY place.

I love the Guizhou style vegan noodles. This is the best I can find outside of Guizhou, China. I have not been able to go back to China for two years. It is truly emotionally satisfying to find Chef Rong's cooking. The noodles taste like what I had in Guiyang. The taste is truly authentic, spicy, and flavorful. They make their own chily sauce which is so delicious! We went there twice during our short visit! Highly recommended. The portion size is generous.

Very good flavour! However, I believe they use dried noodle instead of fresh one. I will try their rice noodle the next time

First time eating here and I LOVE IT! Prices are affordable and the portions are very big. They also offer a marinated egg with the noodles which was good. I ordered a bowl of the spicy chicken noodles and the chicken was very flavorful and had authentic Chinese spiciness. The shop manager is a Chinese lady from Guizhou and her husband is the chef. She was very nice, but wasn’t fluent in English. The shop was very busy in the afternoon but I still got my order in 10 minutes. Make sure to keep your receipt because they collect it as proof of your purchase. I threw mine away but the manager was nice enough to let it slide. I will definitely be coming back!

I first went here when I found out new owners took over. We tried the beef noodles since my uncle is a beef noodle chef in Taiwan. However, after trying the first taste, we all felt a bit disappointed since it was not even close to the beef noodles in Taiwan. Plus they were in plastic containers. can cause cancer Many months later my friend told me they sold crepes. I was surprised since I never knew that. Turns out their menu is not consistent. The majority of it is in Chinese and only the noodle portions are translated to English. The crepe section was in Chinese. The lady was pretty nice. She was considerate and took care of the foods I couldn't have I was sick. But she was pretty blunt when serving the food, even telling me to "show receipt or no food." even after helping me choose the items. I was disturbed by the price. I ordered two crepes. One was only with a Chinese donut. The second one was with lettuce and mustard plant. The lettuce one costed double of the Chinese donut. I don't know how or why I paid for less. It took 10 minutes to make it too. In downtown they only take a couple of minutes. Plus the head chef had to take over which was nice of him he was smiling and very courteous. Sadly, I really don't think I'll be coming back soon. I was already disappointed twice. I don't want there to be a third time.

Very authentic Guizhou spicy food. If people don’t know what is guizhou style spice, think about Lao Gan Ma, and this restaurant has better flavour than Lao Gan Ma spice.

Really nice noodles for basically fast food place. This was my second time to order here and they didn't disappoint again. I really enjoyed eating their mushroom wonton soup with rice noodles and a marinated egg. Sometimes you get more then you expect from mall food. I will be back again to this place.

I got the original crepe for lunch. I think it's a bit too salty and the crispy inserts tasted old. Overall it's pretty average for food court food. But it took almost 30 mins to get my order and it wasn't busy, there was only one person before me. So I hope they can improve their operations.

Did not like the soup base. The beef and tendon were cooked well but did not go with the noodles and soup for the noodle. Unfortunate.
