Rent A Wreck

I give a low mark to the service because the car had some issues that emerged during our trip: car was shaking when breaking and there was a lekeage inside the car through the windshield. As soon as these problems emerged che driver seat was soaked wet and we had to use a towal on the steering wheel while driving back to Oslo we contacted the company telling them our trip was about to end and asking just for a reasonable discount due to the discomfort. Answer, of course, was totally negative. Final price, considering the car was a 100% total wreck, was not much cheaper than standard company. Not worth.

I was surprised how easy and cheap was renting a car in Norway. It took about 20 min and 3 emails to get all info we needed. Car was exactly what we ordered and was where it should have been. To be honest i drive crapy car back home, so it was nice to drive something reliable for a while. In three days we managed to drove about 1000km without any problem whatsoever. If you dont like meeting with people, this car rental is for you. You just punch 4 digit code in to the key dispensor and you are good to go. Same on drop off. For me 5/5. Don't believe in their online quote. They lure you in with low price when you make reservation online. Once you go to the store to sign a contract, the price is significantly higher. I was quoted 440 NOK online, with 0 airport fee for returning to Oslo airport, and no charge for any extra km. When I went to the store, they handed us a contract with airport fee of 400 NOK, 2 NOK per extra km, and 300 underage fee. We were not informed of these changes to the initial quote. Without reading through the actual contract our mistake, we signed that contract hastily. Then two days later we were hit with a bill of 1600 NOK. At that price, you can get a much better car at decent rental agencies like Avis or Hertz. Never again.

Very interesting prices here by Norwegian standards. The cars are sometimes exactly what the name indicates - wrecks. Other times they may be surprisingly good. Don't expect GPS or even a radio in the car. Perfect if you are looking for a car to transport your old sofa to the rubbish dump.

They withdrew money from my card without my knowledge and refused to pay me back. Ended up paying twice as much as I was supposed to. As someone who often rents a car I can without a doubt say that I'll never use this company again.

HIDDEN CHARGES. You are charged 300 nok for. Bombrikke, it's for the toll roads. The chip is supplied FREE by the toll road company Autopass. The chip registers the car and automatically charges the account holder, so no administration or paperwork. You would think that you get 300 NOK of Toll road charges, but, no, on top of that you need to pay extra for the Tolls!!! The staff are friendly!!! Yeah, and I love my kids and have a job :-/ no prizes for that either.

This company has a lot of hidden costs and is not worth the price. We rented a car for 1 day and they ended up charging us more than 1500 NOK. The fees were extra for a driver under 23 years, a fee for handing it back in the airport and an autopass chip fee. None of these fees were mentioned on their web page and they didn't bother informing us about it when we picked up the car. Don't trust this dodgy company.

Garbage staff. Used to be nice and cheap. Now it's more of a money laundering business.

Rent A Wreck charged me 1500,- kr because of a parking ticket I never saw. The parking company vas very serviceminded and explained to me they sent two reminders to Rent A Wreck they gave me a chance to pay 672,- wich I of course would have done immidiately if Rent A Wreck had chosen to send me those reminders. Instead they charged my account 1885,- 2 months after I rented the car without even informing me about the unexpexted charge. I dont understand how this is legal. Suddenly there was not enough money on my card to pay for my groceries. Never again Rent A Wreck! I told you I neversaw the ticket - if I did I would of course have payed it immidiately. I have complained but they are not backing down. Best regards from very unhappy customer. If I could give them 0 stars I would too. PS: They also put you on speaker phone witout telling you - suddenly there is another person taking over the conversation.

They hide the MVA, the kodebrikke price and daily allowance. The prices on their website don't contain the MVA, the kodebrikke price, which is 45 Nok a day, and the daily Km driving allowance. So, if you rent a car for 1 day or 10 days, they want to give you 100km for the whole of the rental. 100km for 10 days? What? you can then drive only 10km a day? That is the advantage of renting a car for 10 days as opposed to 1 day? So then I rather only rent one day- which is also not practical, since I still have to pay the MVA and the kodebrikke on top. Never rent from them.
