Reel Em In Fish & Chips

I love Fish and Chips! After mentioning this to a friend she recommended this shop to me. I had the Pickerel and it was delish. I enjoyed the fries too and they don’t cheap out on the portion size. I’ll definitely be back. They’ve certainly “ reeled me in.” Pun intended

Ordered fries with a large gluten-free & vegan! gravy. Fries were okay… When I think of a fry truck’s fries, they should be crispy on the outside but soft on the inside - and these were just crispy and hard throughout. Not too satisfying. It’s nice that they offer vegan gravy though, but it was quite salty.

Most important is the fish. I ordered halibut and chip. Halibut was perfectly cooked with the batter having the perfect crunch without being thick or oily. Coleslaw was perfect. Chips were nice and thick, cooked great and you get so many. I wasn’t a fan of most having the thick skin though like NY Fries. It’s an outdoor place like a big chip truck with about 4 large picnic tables for eating on. The ladies running it were very friendly. Price was good for the amount you get. However if you order the 1/2 cups with your fish you don’t get the coleslaw. I will definitely be going back. If you found this helpful please click like cheers!!

You want awesome haddock, fries and coleslaw. Come here. Fresh ingredients, not a long wait, thick cut fries that arent dried out, soft on the inside, crisp on the outside. Fish is nicely battered. Same as the fries, not dried out and friendly service. The ladies are cute

Best gluten free fish and chips I've had in Ontario! Super happy we found this place. Definitely recommend! Had the cod, haddock and fried pineapple insanely delicious!

Reel ‘Em In serve the absolute best Fish and Chips in Barrie! I’m English and trust me their Halibut and Chips make me homesick. Love the meals that have tartar sauce, coleslaw and lemon included. Always friendly service and if you’re not sure of portion size they always guide you the right way. They are incredibly missed when they close for the winter months.

Outstanding! I’ve been looking for battered gf fish n chips since we arrived from the UK in 2004! I last had fish n chips while visiting the UK 2015. As a coeliac, I struggle to find incredible cuisine, often told to order the salad : When I came to Reel Em yesterday I ordered the haddock, mushrooms, chips and coleslaw. All gluten free. It was to die for. The batter was crispy and light with enough flavour that didn’t detract from the mild sweet haddock. The chips were cooked to perfection, then dusted in a light sea salt. The mushrooms popped with juice and explode in your mouth. Then, there was the coleslaw! Crunchy, creamy with the right amount of tang. The tartar sauce was so delicious and fresh, it completed the meal. Paired with a chilled Chardonnay, I was in heaven. Thank you ladies. You over exceeded my expectations. Obviously, I’ll be back!

Best fish & chips I've ever had. Huge portion and great prices. The batter was perfectly done and not too oily. Staff is also very friendly. Will definitely be returning to try their other menu items!

Had the halibut dinner - fish was excellent but the batter was not completely cooked. Coleslaw was very good. Fries tasted like they had been cooked, then reheated and when I ate them about 10 minutes after purchase they were hard.

Amazing! Being celiac it's hard to find a place that will understand and be able to make safe food. This place has the best gluten free fish and chips, deep fried pineapple.. And have yet to try the deep fried mushrooms! I highly recommend anyone to stop in and try the amazing food!
