Halibut House

We have been here several times and every time the food is fresh and excellent. The portions and quality is great! Yeah it may be more expensive than some other places but you get what you pay for. Our server always the same one is friendly and does a great job every time we come in. Keep it up guys!

First time there...calamari appetizers were amazing and manager and staff were very kind.Portions are large and the food hot and fresh. My grandson and daughter enjoyed the dinner and the great service. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly and lots of available parking

Tried the Halibut Takeout special on the way back from the cottage and it was pretty good, however, we had to wait quite a bit as the order wasn't put in when we ordered it. It was good.. but I think id rather eat in next time.

good place for a hearty lunch. Rich choice, good menu. very large portions, so you should come very hungry nice service that deserves a good tip!

Ordered first time delivery: arrived hot and not soggy. Fish was perfectly battered; not heavy, and cooked just right tasted great; halibut. Fries were crispy and fresh and a large portion. One thing I would highly recommend; and maybe they do this when you dine in, but packet tartar sauce is just wrong, I wish they sent fresh, made my own but still. Caesar salad was nothing special, small portion and just lettuce with croutons. For 6$ meh. Gravy was a giant size! So perfect for me.

One of my favourite spots in the area for fish and chips. I've both had dinner in and taken out from this place, and they're always timely with my order. I've never had issues with the fish being undercooked or lacking in flavour, and staff are always pleasant. If you're looking to get fish, your money isn't wasted going here.

My first time in and well worth it. There was a special of halibut and chips for $11. The portion was huge. It fed me and a friend. The best part was the waitress. She was amazing. Attentive but not intrusive. Enthusiastic about the food and restaurant. Really great experience. Give it a try!Food: 5/5

It was fine. Pricey.... nice to haves would be a little coleslaw as part of the main... fries are good... the Gravy is watery... fish is good.... on a takeout order...mark the boxes for gods sake... most people dont know cod from halibut or cod. so when people order different fish... mark the box!

I decided to check the fish out, recommend by a friend. The restaurant was nice, clean and friendly service. I purchased 2 orders of fish for take out. I drove to collect my husband after a treatment and grabbed the bag from my back seat and it was saturated in grease! The meals are served in paper boxes, with paper wraps, in brown paper bags and it was a challenge to try and eat this in my car, not to mention getting grease out of my leather seats. Would like to see take out either in styrofoam or a plastic bag. The fish and chips were what I expected. Average at best. I may have a better experience with inside dining or taking it home. Eating in the car on the run, not recommended ‍no food photo as my hands where covered in grease.

I gave one star because the young girl behind the cash was good and friendly. The food was freaking horrific. The fries tasted like they were cooked in grease, weeks past it's prime with a strong metallic flavour. The fish was yellow and greasy, similar to a pre prepackaged variety and thrown in heavy oil. Waste of $20.00 I should have driven to Danny's
