I have eaten here twice as well as once I have gotten food to go. The service was excellent, the food was great, had the fish and chips, good size portions. The burgers are excellent, the onion rings were good as well. Will definitely be returning.
They cheat you on your portions, you are told the fish portions are 4 oz however I have seen the cook stretch the fish before battering it by turning his back to you so that you are only receiving 2.5 Oz's of fish. Also they deep fry the souvlaki in the fish fryer and grill the hamburgers on the flat top and not on the grill. I would not recommend eating here ever. The food is atrocious and the cleanliness of the restaurant and kitchen area is appalling
Ordered 2 pieces of halibut, fries and a salad to go. $20. Got home and the salad was very basic not great. The fish was very small, dry and chewy. I can't even review the fries because they didn't even put it in my take out bag. Save your appetite and your money.
Our first FnC dinner a few weeks ago when first advertised was pretty good. Last night for supper we ordered take out, same 2 pc halibut, lightly battered and chips. Fish seemed like small portions with heavy undercooked batter and stale chips. Upset tummy all night. Not sure we'll be back.
Great service! Food was excellent, large portions, Greek salad was delicious! They obviously change their cooking oil frequently and use fresh ingredients! Loved it and will definitely be going back!
My first visit to this place since it was a restaurant by another name. Ordered 2 piece halibut with fries and extra tartar sauce, to go. I left the place and got to work only to find ONE piece of halibut, fries and packets of tartar sauce. Ripped off, and really...you can't make tartar sauce homemade, or at least not like McDonalds' packets.
Good fish and chips. When we went it was busy, but also opening weekend, so things were a little hectic. That may be what the other reviewer is talking about. Once things settle down and staff get used to things this should be a nice little restaurant.
The food wasn't too bad...but the service was so unorganized...people came in after us and they were served before us...another customer waited over 1/2 for their food. They need to be more organized...i figured out how they can do it...will see if they can figure it out to make it better so it will run better!! Too much food selection also...it is a fish and chip restaurant...have food related to fish...concentrate on that!!!
Food wasn't bad... chicken fingers were delicious. Word to the wise though, you can't use shredded cheese to make poutine, that's a sin... cheese curds only!!!
