Took my Arctic Cat M8000 in with primary clutch issues near the end of February 2017. I was told the primary clutch needed a total rebuild. I asked for and was given an estimate, I forget the exact amount. I gave the approval for the rebuild. The invoice for the rebuild was approximately $730 plus taxes, shop supplies and add on charges, which I remember exceeded the estimate. I was told that they had encountered unforeseen problems and that they had actually cut down labour time and gave me a deal. I was not happy about the cost but I was happy to have my sled back and decided to shrug it off. On my first ride of a 3 day trip with it way back in Eagle pass the belt blew apart. I put in a new belt and after that the clutch would not disengage. This made it a real challenge to get out of the back country back to the cabin. The next day I took it to a shop in Revelstoke to have the primary clutch inspected. It turns out the wrong after market weights were put in which were keeping the primary sheaves closed just a bit, not enough engage with a worn belt but enough to engage with a new belt. That cost $300 in labour plus new weights. When I brought this up to Redline they really didn't have much to say, they did buy the wrong weights they installed back though. Fast forward to the first week of January 2018 on my 5th ride since the primary clutch rebuild. The clutch was making lots of noise and acting up. I decided to take it in to Redline since they had done the rebuild on that clutch. They discovered the spider nut had came lose and basically destroyed the whole primary clutch. They diagnosed this as being caused by poor fitting panels allowing snow and water getting into engine compartment and the crankshaft being out 0.00525" when the service limit is 0.002" They recommended replacing the crankshaft to prevent this from happening again. Not a small job, lets say $4000 ballpark. They offered no warranty on the rebuild and this diagnosis cost another $160. By now I was convinced that I was being messed around with so I decided to phone Arctic Cat. They stated that you can not rebuild an Arctic Cat Primary clutch but instead needed to replace the whole primary as the clutches are balanced from factory and that no rebuild kits are offered from Arctic Cat. Redline used an after market rebuild kit and had to "custom fit sliders into spider towers." In my opinion the problem is right there. Custom fitting caused the balance to be out on the primary. Possibly the spider nut was not torqued to proper spec and without the use of loctite. All of this was brought to the attention on Adam but he really had nothing to say about it. I took my sled to Arctic Cat and had them measure the crankshaft runout while I watched. it was approximately 0.0016" out on one side and 0.0016" on the other side directly across from the first spot. They said my crankshaft is completely fine. They gave me a brand new genuine Arctic Cat Clutch for $500. Friendly guys to talk to but I have learned many hard lessons from this experience and will not be back to Redline Cycle.

Adam, in response to your reply to my original review: I never did mention the name of your shop to any of the shops that worked on my sled. I believe that it was the priority of the other shops that worked on my sled to steer me in the right direction and to fix my sled properly rather than to make you look as bad as possible as you stated. You made yourself look bad and it’s is better off to take responsibilty for your mistakes than to deny them. After all we all make mistakes. Had you made things right with me I would have never had to tell this true story to advise other cistomers away from your shop. a) I do not doubt that your shop rebuilds Cat clutches all the time. But Arctic Cat does not sell primary clutch rebuild kits as they say these clutches are to never be rebuilt. I am going to listen to the company that designs, manufactors and assembles these machines over your opinion. The total invoice for the clutch rebuild and temp sensor was $1091.01. The temp sensor part was $124.99 plus tax and labour. The way I see it the clutch rebuild was $730 at minimum. I will post a picture of the invoice so the customers can decide for themselves. As I stated before I was sold a brand new primary from Arctic Cat for $500 plus tax. I never stated it was $550 and I never stated the weights were $190 and that the assembly was $200, So I will assume these are your own prices. Either way the brand new primary was cheaper in the end than your rebuild was, and is the proper way. I did stick with my rebuild for 4 rides until my primary blew apart. To say you saved me money is very untrue, you actually cost me a lot of money. It is you that needs the clutching education to prevent this from happening again to other custumers. b) I did not say my belt would not engage, I said it would not disengage. I cleaned all of the old belt pieces out from the clutch after the belt blew. After the clutch would not disengage I pulled shims out twice until there were no shims left and this caused the belt to become very lose but the clutch was still engaged. Your attemtps to cover your tracks are shut down again. The weights you put in my primary clutch were deeper causing the primary to not fully open at idle. The original weights that were in my clutch were ground down from my rollers seizing up before the rebuild. (Refer to the invoice picture I post. You indicate this on the invoice) So for you to say you have my old weights and the weights I returned in your hands and that they are identical profiles is just untrue c) You are stating that the Revy shop loosened the spider nut and dissassembled the clutch. You are assuming this because I never said that it happened. d) no both shops did not give me the same measurement. You told me my crankshaft is 0.00525” and that the service limit is 0.002” I will post a picture of your invoice stating that as well. The other shop was 0.0016”. Big difference. I am glad I didn't take your advice and put a new crank in my sled. Although that would have benefited you on covering your tracks it would have cost me a ton of money. For the record I tried to discuss these issues with Adam both on the phone and in person but he was uncooperative with me. You are trying desperately to defend your shop and hide your mistakes but you are just digging yourself deeper. I have all the paperwork and documentation on this sled and I will continue to share it with the public to prove that you are not telling the truth. When you stop arguing with the truth and admit the facts, I will stop with my reviews of Redline. I think you are going to go back and edit your reply to me since you are were caught in some lies so I have taken a picture of your original reply and I will post it if I see that you have edited your original reply.

Good prices on Tires. New to town but the shop rates seem a little high. Not really sure if that is average for Kelowna or not. Good staff. Helpful and friendly.

Very helpful, got me in for a pre purchase checkup on same day and went out of their way to help when they easily could have made me book for another day.
