Red Lion Hotel Twin Falls

We broke down and needed somewhere to stay so went to the red lion. The guy at the front desk seemed very annoyed to be inconvenienced by having to serve us. We asked for a king bed room since it was the same price as a double queen and we only needed a single bed. He told us there were vacancies but he couldn't figure out how to reserve one for us so we had to take a queen room. He acted so annoyed with us and really irritated. He gave us the room key and didn't tell us where it was or anything. Everyone else we interacted with there was great and the room was clean and comfortable. This would have been a 5 star review if it wasn't for mister grumpy at the front desk. Red Lion, if you are reading this you may want to train your evening/night desk clerks on how to give good customer service.

I was on my way back to Texas and it was late, I was tired and cold and just wanted a hot shower and a good nights sleep. The price was very right but when I walked into my room, I immediately realized that the Red Lion Hotel was no longer the classy hotel that it used to be. My 10 year class reunion was held at the Red Lion Downtowner in Boise, back in 1995 and I remember walking in and being so impressed with everything about it all. I understand that places get old, I get that and I'm fine with that. What I'm not fine with is walking into a room where both beds have hair, that was not mine, all over the sheets, the comforter as well as the pillows! There were pieces of grass or weeds or something on one bed and the nightstand in between the two beds was covered with crumbs and some kind of dried liquid. I called the front desk and told them that my room was unacceptable and the man came to my room immediately to check it out and said that he would definitely be talking to housekeeping about it and put me in the room next to it. He even checked it out and made sure I was satisfied with the new room before leaving. So, the front desk clerk that worked on Wednesday night, Nov. 1, 2017, after 11:00pm at the Red Lion Hotel in Twin Falls, Idaho is the only reason I gave this place two stars. Otherwise, it would have been ZERO!!!

Great place to stay. Very friendly staff. The only problem we had was we had to go get a new key to our room because the first one didn't work. The breakfast is phenomenal. Would definitely stay here again. Oh and the price was the cheapest we found in town for the quality of room.

The hotel itself was fantasic, great service, comfy beds, and nice rooms with easy access to outside if you feel the need to step out. The only concerns I had was structurally there was a few issues in the rooms. My friends room the wall looked like the dry wall was buckling and the ceiling in my room looked like it was about to collapse from evident water damage.

The room we were promised wasn't available and the pet friendly room we received had a dirty tub/shower, soap tray and corners of the bathroom floor, etc. (which automatically makes you wonder about other things in the room). It was quiet and had lots of parking which was a big plus.
