Red Lion Hotel Pocatello

Nice and comfortable rooms (check the wheel lock on your bed or you may go sliding across the room when you get in them). Pool area is excellent. A fantastic little 1ft swim area for toddlers separated from the rest of pool by a little wall and railing bar. Rest of pool goes from 3ft-8ft. Halls are a little labyrinth like, definitely grab the map at the check in desk. Nice work lobbies with comfortable chairs. Took down one star because there is virtually no sound barrier in the walls or doors. You hear everything in the halls and the rooms next to you, everything.

I really love the building. The location is great, right off the freeway. They offer free breakfast but ran out of food 1 1/2 hours before breakfast was over, said someone forgot to order the food. Our beds were not made up after our first nights stay. Other than that our room was clean, we enjoyed the hot tub.

I was here for a training conference. The meeting rooms are attractive, well lit, the chairs are comfortable, there is plenty of parking. But... the ladies restroom is run down, and at least one stall is out of toilet paper every time. When I left the other day, only 1 of 4 stalls had toilet paper. And the soap dispensers do not work well so one has to push the button repeatedly to dispense soap. The Red Lion has room for improvement.

The rooms were filthy, we had to switch rooms 3 times, once we finally got a clean room the top security lock was broken, and no screen on the window. If you are visiting family members, be sure to check in as a guest or they will question giving you towels, shampoo, conditioner, etc.. they were pretty rude to the guests that didn't check in as visiting guests. The pool and hot tube were filthy as well, be sure to wear goggles or else you might get pink eye. Overall, just do not recommend it.

The building is nice looking but not maintained the best. I went to a large event and the stadd didn't shovel the sidewalks so there was a major slipping hazard. My grandmother came and we were worried she could fall and get hurt. Anyone with a disability would find it difficult to attend.
