Motel 6 Pocatello - Chubbuck

When we arrived, the door to our room was open. The outside temperature was 20°. The room inside was about the same. After running the heat for an hour we left because we were uncomfortably cold. The front desk offered us a space heater. When we returned about two hours later after eating dinner, the room was still cold. Because the room was not carpeted, floors were too cold to walk on. In addition, the bathroom sink had no hot water. When we checked out, the front desk was completely uninterested in our situation. I understand a Motel 6 it’s not the Ritz, but it’s not right to pay to be this uncomfortable.

The room was incredibly hot when I arrived from the heater running on maximum for several hours. I couldnt cool it without opening the door. Internet access was spotty and slow. The room was clean, and the price was good. However, I did not sleep at all. The next time I'm in Pocatello, I will be springing the extra $20 to stay elsewhere. I'm sure if I will bother trying a different Motel 6 location.

The motel 6 was open and willing to take us at midnight which was nice. The bed was firm which was good for my wife but negligble for me. The shower was really tiny and there was little in the room but it was a nice short stay for a night when it was blizzarding everywhere around us. I would stay there again if I had to but I wouldn't choose it over something else if I had the choice.

For one night, it was okay. However, the ceiling tile near the bathroom was coming down, and the only updates were clearly the paint job and the bedding. It was clean, I'll give you that, but not someplace I want to spend more than one night. Walls were thin, the neighbor's TV kept me up late. Heater had only two temperatures, "blazing inferno" and "off", despite my attempts to adjust it. That said, the front desk was very friendly and helpful, and the price was excellent.

The price was amazing - great for a person traveling with a dog. The room could have been cleaner, especially the floor. Otherwise, the room was exactly what you'd expect from a budget motel.
