Story

At Realm Food Co., we want to re-establish the connection between farmers and people to ultimately raise awareness on the importance of eating locally. In this way, Realm offers a compelling humane model to the world and contributes to a proudly sustainable Oceanside community. Our goal is to provide customers with a unique gastronomic experience using food grown and obtained in a way that respects the well being of farmers, the environment, and you. This was the most amazingly delicious food we have had at any restaurant EVER. The Fish Tacos are to die for, I have celiac and was over-joyed to find a gluten free menu like theirs. My father can't stand gluten free and loved the Albacore Tuna Wrap. It didn't stop there. The service was excellent, the staff was attentive and extremely nice. If you are in Parksville this restaurant is worth the wait. The food and service is excellent, you will not be disappointed.

Ordered the Jerk chicken wrap after a 70km bike ride. I was hungry and hoping for something fresh and tasty. The wrap had sprouts, lettuce, chicken, pickled slaw, and a few pieces of tomato. The earthy flavor of the sprouts did not go with the Jerk seasoning at all. It made the chicken taste off. The pickled slaw tasted like wine left on the counter too long...and not in a good way. The flavours of the garden lettuce they chose to use were also quite strong and "dirty" tasting. I couldn't get lemon for my water, because they only use ingredients that are in season, but a citrus salsa and some milder greens would have made this dish ok. Unfortunately I was so turned off by the fermented-dirt flavour, I didn't finish it, and left hungry.

Liked the vegetarian options. Service was prompt. Servers were helpful & answered questions readily. However the floors were not swept. A fly kept buzzing around as the back door was kept open. Not many food choices for kids. Would not recommend the water/glass offered here.

If you want fresh, healthy and an explosion of good taste then Realm is the place to go. I'm never disappointed.

I have never had a breakfast parfait that I loved this much and probably never will again! The avocado toast and arbutus benny were also unreal, and I want to come back until I've tried every single smoothie. A spiritual experience. I wish I could eat here every day.
