I recently had a very disappointing experience at this branch. My account was charged insufficient funds NSF fees, which the bank later refunded. However, SGI also charged me NSF fees even though I had enough money in my account at the time. When I tried to explain this to the banker, she didn’t seem to understand me, so I asked for the manager.nnUnfortunately, the manager was quite rude. He told me I cannot transfer money from my savings account to my chequing account and send an e-transfer at the same time because the app takes time to update. While I understand the explanation now, this was never mentioned to me when I opened the account. When I pointed this out, he replied, “Maybe you didn’t ask,” which felt very dismissive and unprofessional.nnInstead of listening to my concerns or trying to understand my situation, both the banker and the manager brushed me off. I left feeling frustrated, unheard, and disrespected. RBC should ensure their staff communicate account rules clearly to customers at the time of opening accounts and treat customers with courtesy when issues arise.
RBC was a disappointment. When my credit card expired, the bank never notified me about what I needed to do. My work permit is valid until February, and I even have an official letter confirming the renewal process, but they refused to update the card and told me to just close the account. They also assured me that closing it wouldn’t affect my credit score — yet it dropped from 790 to 706. The card had a flawless payment history, never a single missed payment. I’ve since decided to switch to BMO, where clients are treated with respect.
Blatantly racist here against indigenous peoples. Accused my native husband of fraud and refused him service when he tried to deposit a cheque from my mom for his school tuition. I told manager Kristeen Brewster we would wait while she made whatever necessary calls or emails to validate the cheque. Nope refused service. Made to feel like a criminal because hes native. Total racial profiling. Spent half the day at TD who said this is absolutely NOT standard practice to validate the cheque. My mom had to take time off work to do so too & the validation process isnt free. RBC refused to apologize or admit any wrongdoing when we returned and wouldnt reimburse us for what the validation cost either. After sharing our experience, i’ve been flooded with messages from others reaching out to tell me about the racism theyve encountered at RBC and specifically this branch and this lady. To add more insult they while we were still in their parking lot with me crying and my husband about to we recieved an email from RBC saying they are looking into his complaint and “take these matters seriously” he hadnt even filed a complaint yet. Then ONE MINUTE later we recieve another email stating a “thorough investigation” has been done and the matter has been closed. Are you guys for real????? Im so disgusted and disappointed in RBC as a whole and specifically kristeen brewster. You owe my husband an apology and honestly if the world was just you should lose your job over something like this. Shame on you.nnSo a heads up to any other indigenous peoples in Saskatoon, you are at high odds of racial profiling here, please be warned and bank elsewhere
I can see why hits only 2.2 scire here!nnWorst service by far! I've been here for 30 mins waiting on getting a new card!nnWhat's the point of using a bank when all they do is protect you against your own hard earned money!nn6 months of trying to get a card and failure from every end. It's pretty sad you get locked out of your accounts due to their own problems.nnRBC needs to get their act together in a timely matter.nnAsked a million questions multiple times. They said they need to do their due diligence. Well lady if you don't trust me then why should I trust you guys! If I gave them all the info they needed they can access my accounts. Think about that, they protect you out of your own accounts and gave to remember every little detail to get them to work with you. Terrible terrible customer service.nnI just need a debit cardnnUpdate: went to another RBC Bank and gave me a bank card right away
Currently in process of transferring everything to another institutio. Not helpfull at all. Lady at front very rude. Informed me I couldn't possibly etransfer funds the way I've been doing it for years. She actually rebuked me for thinking I could. They charge for everything and offer nothing in return. Moving to a credit union where I get better onterest and some acgual respect.
