Great Blue Trail Trail-head. Plenty of parking behind the Wilbur Cross Dunkin Donuts. There is also a canoe launch here. The trail meanders along the Q and there is a good chance to see deer here.

A nice little park with trails that meander along the Quinnipiac River. Poor signage from the South entrance did not indicate that much of the trail is closed and overrun with vegetation.

Love what CT has done with the rest areas on CT-15. This one has a 24 hour subway and Dunkin donuts. They are staffed by the same people so sometimes there is extra wait. It's an easy on and easy off rest area and has a convenience store and restrooms which are well maintained.

visited late March 2013. I entered the blue-blazed trail from the north end (Toelles Rd bridge) and found the trail was impassable after about 0.5 mi (the blazes lead into deep water in a flooded area). I found it impossible to detour because of thorns, mud, and random oxbows from previous river flooding and had to turn back. There is lots of quicksand-like muck. I am grateful that this space is open to the public but anybody expecting trails like Sleeping Giant is going to be severely disappointed. I would definitely not recommend this for family outings. Might be of interest to intrepid cross-country trekkers, just be sure to wear good boots, long pants and expect slow going as it is extremely overgrown and likely to be even more difficult in the warmer months. The river scenery is not bad and there is wildlife (plenty of deer). On the downside there is lots of litter (large number of plastic bats and soccer balls, I guess from the facilities on the other side of the river). Also a lot of vehicle noise from CT 15 which runs parallel.
