Beaver Ponds Park
Rejuvenated by a committed group pf neighborhood residents, Beaver Ponds Park is a quiet refuge from the busyness of urban life. It is maintained largely through the efforts of a core of volunteers, the Friends of Beaver Ponds Park, affiliated with Urban Resources Initiative. Beaver Ponds Park offers a variety of activities from fishing to bird watching. The ponds are stocked with fish yearly. Newly installed signs present information about the plants and wildlife you may see as you walk along the pond. Its restored meadow, planted with native perennials, provides habitat for migratory birds and other species. The park was designated an Urban Oasis by Audubon Connecticut in 2014.

Lovely walk with informational plaques and stone benches to sit and watch the birds. Don't miss the enclosed section that you have to cross into the track area to find.

Great place to teach kids how to fish. From getting bait to casting and catching fish. Popular fish here are sunfish/bluegill, tiger bass and catfish.

Clean, well kept. That's why it's always crowded.😎
