West Rock Ridge State Park

Love this place. A lot of hiking trails. you can ride your bike of the old road from the area gone by. I can't find much about this place but there is a "guard post" but it also looks like outhouse. That is ruffly mid point of the road that is on the the top of the ridge. I did talk to some old guy living in the area and he barely remembers the top road being open.

Amazing view, and a great potential picnic spot! Would highly recommend visiting to walk around or just drive to the top! Be aware that the road up closes at 6:00 pm though.

Wonderful and tranquil place. Love going on walks here! Everyone is courteous to each other. Great for fishing, reading, walking or taking the dogs out for a nice walk about!☺

It's a beautiful park and well kept. There are baseball fields for all type of sports. And it's a historic mountain caused by a glacier many years ago.

I love how close this is to the city! It's great to have a nice hike so close to my apartment. Being able to plunk myself into the middle of the woods after a long week of school work and classes is a blessing. Try to go on a weekday during the school year! I went on a Wednesday when my lab was cancelled and I was nearly the only one in the park. It was surreal!
