An absolutely wonderful place to go for a walk. Beautiful trees and building's make it a great spot for family photos/engagement photos. Also a great place to take your dogs. Large open fields make it a great spot for the whole family to go to and have some outdoor fun. Highly recommend stopping by to check it out.

I love the Edgerton Park greenhouses. They are filled with unusual and common plants, from tiny to huge. There's plenty to purchase, or you can just look around. There is a tropical plants greenhouse with very interesting plants from around the world, not for sale. You can also wander through the community gardens tended by local individuals. It's a nice outing!

This New Haven park (on the border of New Haven and Hamden) is enjoyable every season of the year. With well-tended grounds and many ornamental plants, it s a lovely spot for a wedding. There is excellent sledding in winter (lots of thrills without the dander of the Divinity School Hill), Shakespeare in the Park in August, and several festivals. It is an excellent place to walk your leashed dog or to check out the specimen trees (many marked with labels). Be sure to visit the Sarah T. Crosby Conservatory open from 10-4 daily.

A true hidden gem of New Haven. This park is a walled off pastoral treasure. Quiet, well maintained, and they do Shakespeare in the summer.

Probably my favorite park in New Haven. The gardens and trees are great as are the meandering paths. You get a good sense of the grandeur of the park when it waz privately owned and there was still a mansion on it.
