A boon to the folks at New Haven. Breadth taking views from the top. A place that's so near town yet so cut off that's allows for a peaceful stroll or a quick jog. 

A place must visit whether a tourist or resident

The perfect park to have a picnic with family and friends. There are big trees as the best canopy, grass to lay the picnic blanket and the kids to play. A lot of light especially when afternoon sun shone between the leaves, it's so lovely!

Hiked to the top of East Rock for the first time.  It wasn't a bad hike, I don't consider myself to be very active and I made it without any problems.  Pack water,  I expected there to be a place to refill bottles at the top and I didn't see any.  But the views were really great and it was a good time,  a really nice place to picnic.

Excellent café mocha with scones. Killer Banh Mhi, add runny egg and salmon, NO cilantro. Sarah runs a welcoming café.
