Very nice but no type of security. I wouldn't go there alone and not when dark. It does have a bird watching booth right on the Quinnipiac marsh. On a sunny day with friends this place could be nice. The gate is always locked but you can go around it. Its a medium squeeze so NOT accessible for handicap. Great for walks especially with your dog. There is parking room for I would say 6 cars comfortably.

It is a wonderful place to visit. My children and friends and family enjoyed cooking out there. It is family friendly and extremely peaceful.
