Love pike fishing here. Great parking spots. Love that they have a hose so you can wash the boat down afterwards. Usually very peaceful lake to fish until the jet skis come out! The bathroom was horribly disgusting. So much feces in one toilet, no toilet paper in the other stall. No soap to wash your hands. Garbage all over. Was a VERY disgusting women's room.
I love Gull Lake. If you have never been; you must go. The water is like nothing you've seen when your out on the boat. Super clean spring fed water!
Great fishing, beautiful color to the lake. Highly recommend
One of the most beautiful lakes I've been to. Water is clear and free of debris. Will be back!
Beautiful lake! The boat ramp on the other hand, not so much. To begin with, the entrance gate came down on our boat as we were entering and broke off, leaving a very long paint transfer mark. Lucky it did no damage. Then when we were leaving, the same thing happened to another boat! I asked the two young men at the gate how often this happens and they replied, “multiple times a day”. They have a stack of extra gates always on hand when they smash down on boats and need to be replaced. Super busy, which I’m ok with, as long as there is direction and organization…which there was none. It’s a free for all. Just wish they could improve on that aspect.
Beautiful place to take a date, buddies or family. Affordable parking, beach and boat launch
My only real complaint with this boat launch/park is its too small. There’s not really any other option for launching on Gull Lake.
I am aware that this was the first 90 degree weekend in Michigan, but that might have been the worst experience at a boat launch in my 40 years of life. So much disorganization and people coming from different directions in the lot, blocking the docks with new incoming boats. It wasn't possible for new boats to launch or trucks to get their boats that are waiting on the water. There is no method or direction to the madness. It's just a cluster of people like a busy intersection with no traffic light. The most expensive and disorganized launch I have ever used. Honestly I'll be one less boat on the lake out there. Send someone to the State Park at Gun Lake to watch how they manage ramp use. For ten bucks a trailer, you should be able to pay a couple people that are smart enough to keep things flowing properly. This ramp is not large enough for the volume of traffic it receives. I'm not a person that jumps to complain and write bad reviews. I honestly hope this helps to make a bit of a change.
I wanted to go fishing at this lake really badly. My first couple of problems is it used to be free to come and go, now it’s $7 for a vehicle without a trailer. My second problem is they have a floatable dock they put in the water for fishers and it wasn’t in the water yet maybe it’s because of everything going on and they’re slowly opening the park. But there wasn’t anywhere to go shore or dock fishing and I didn’t want to get in the way of the boats launching into the water. Other than this it’s a beautiful lake.
Great lake and nice park. Get there early, while there are lots of spots it fills up fast and you end up in line waiting to get in.
