Terrible Nightmare. I found a stray older kitten who can hardly walk. I cant let him pee all over the house, so he's being kept warm, fed and safe in my small, now smelly, laundry room. Barry County Humane Society told me to call the Barry County Animal Shelter. Been calling them for 4 days, can only leave a message and my number, and they are completely ignoring the whole situation. No call back. What do we do with poor suffering cat crying in my laundry room? No rescuers will help either. Id like to know where they get these rave reveiws!!!
I've adopted from here and recently began volunteering. The shelter is clean and the staff is amazing. The animals have a great home here while waiting to be adopted! Adopt, don't shop

So helpful from the Frontline reception to the support staff helping with cats and dogs.
Adopted a cat here today, cleanest shelter I've ever been in. Not a single odor or anything, cant speak for the dog section, didn't visit. Cats are well cared for. We adopted Ruby, renamed Galaxy, she's fitting right in. Seemed at home in the shelter, but adapting to the new home very fast. Staff is extremely kind. Thinking about adopting? Check here first, you seriously won't regret it.
I was looking for a new pet and I found the perfect one! Meet Remmy!
Went to get a dog license at 11:30 and the doors were unlocked and there was people in there and he told me they didn't open till 1:00. Like I said, there were people in there so why couldn't they just do it while I was there. Now I have to make copies of everything and mail it in after buying a money order. I'm very upset about this. And this is exactly why I don't get my dogs licensed. They make it too difficult when people live 21 miles away,
Spotless, well appointed facility just love the kitten playroom!, helpful staff, we adopted the perfect Maine Coon Kitten. Staff made this process easy and friendly, open ended in case it wasn't a perfect fit is very comforting. Great to have some background on your adoptee, veterinary support, a back up plan. Thank you guys, this has been a great experience.
Great people. It's so clean . The dog we wanted was scared to get into our vehicle so ran away after squeezing out of collar...ran up hill and to the front door and to the door to go to room where her kennel was .... twice. That just shows you the animals do not mind being there. The staff makes it so good for them.
