I went in to cancel my gym membership a while ago and was told I was good and that my last payment was the following month. I was moving so I changed my card info ect. Turns out it rolled into a month to month, which of course now wouldn’t go through because my card details changed. It was sent to collections after months of bounced balances. Despite not having gone to the gym in over a year. Absolutely would not recommend, shady practices.
Fantastic range of equipment. They have everything from ellipticals and machines to squat racks and CrossFit type equipment. There is a full boxing ring with tons of heavy bags we well as an enclosed hardwood floored room for HIT classes. They are constantly adding equipment and updating older equipment. The gym is kept spotlessly clean and everyone is very friendly including the staff. Membership prices are quite reasonable also. I have had conversations with one of the owners who is a veteran and incredibly helpful and pleasant to work with. Obviously speaking they are Mil/Leo and first responder friendly. They have staffed hours that are very reasonable and are open 24/7 for members. I drive 35 minutes one way to come here and it's totally worth it for me. I highly recommend this gym for anyone in the area whether you are just starting off working out or are a veteran lifter. Update February 2022- I still love this place and stand behind my original review
They send my account to debt collection even though I was going to the gym for 5 months. No one ever told me that my payment card wasn’t working. Never got a call or anything to let me know. Called them to find out what happened. They’re claiming they texted and emailed me every month. Never received anything. I really want to support this small gym but horrible treatment. That fact that they lied to me on the phone is not right.
During the covid shutdown I bought some home equipment and then just forgot about the membership. 6 months ago i started leaving messages about cancelling the membership. They never returned any of my messages. Now the card is expired and they suddenly reach out. Explain the situation and nothing but salt from them. A return call could have solved this months ago.
Used to be a good gym. Now dirty and old equipment that don’t work properly. Do not recommend.
I have recently joined this gym and I have been impressed so far. The equipment is the best of the best. The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Also the people who work out there are friendly, and are always willing to help with no problems asked. I have no regrets leaving the Rochester Gym. Best decision I made in my life to join this gym and I would recommend this gym to anyone. I have been making gains at this gym like crazy.
I've been at this gym for almost one year. It is phenomenal!
Original post 2018. The gym is clean. Equipment is kept in good working order. I only use the machines and free weights so I can't speak for the classes. Update 2021: they have purchased several new machines/stations, otherwise still great staff and place to workout.
Overall an amazing place to workout. Many free weights, deadlift platform, quality machines and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. Definitely will not be switching gyms any time soon.
A great gym! The staff is friendly, helpful, and they don't try and con you into buying personal trainer sessions like LA Fitness does. They keep the place clean and have great equipment. Definitely recommend!
