I tried putting in a catering order to celebrate a birthday for one of my employees but the order would not go through. Tried refreshing and re-submitting the order 3 times with no luck. I called to place the order over the phone and was told they couldn't help and I had to order online. They didn't even try to confirm for me that I wouldn't be charged for the 3 online attempts. It didnt feel like great customer service.
First of all love potbelly food.. always great. Went to this location, dining was closed, handwritten sign on door. If I'm paying over $20 for soup, sandwich, and a shake. PAY YOUR PEOPLE A LIVEABLE WAGE then maybe management wouldn't have the absolute embarrassment of having to close the dining area.
When I first went to potbelly I went to the location in Woodbury and they were so kind over there and made my sandwich delicious. Then 2 weeks later I decide to go into the potbelly in Arden hills cause it’s closest to my job and I wanted that exact same sandwich that I remembered to be very tasty, right when I got in there, there was a line and I was waiting and saw 5 guys working at the sandwich station. They were being very kind and laughing with the customers who were ahead of me and right when I got to the first guy who asks what type of bread you want, he gave me the biggest attitude and didn’t even ask what I wanted, I decide to ignore that and told him what bread/meat I wanted and then after I was done with him, my sandwich was passed on to the next guy and he literally looked at me up and down and wasn’t paying attention to anything I was saying that I wanted for toppings. I felt very bad and even awkward to be there and when I asked the front cashier for my receipt I was looked at and ignored, so I ended up leaving with a disgusting sandwich that didn’t taste right as soon as I took a bite and my receipt that I asked for three times and was ignored. I will probably not be coming back as a customer to this location.
Add me to the "I had to order online because they weren't open to walk-in traffic" group. That's happened to me multiple times. It's always a toss-up whether they'll be open. I get it--it's hard to keep employees. It's hard to keep customers, too. If you enjoy dining as an adventure, this is the place for you. Today's visit--during which I was the only customer in the place-- went like this: Me: Hi, I'd like a regular ham with provolone on wheat, please Employee 1: grabs white bread Me: I'm sorry, I said wheat, please. Employee 1: grabs wheat bread, pauses, asks "what size did you say?" Me: Regular. Employee 1: what kind of sandwich? Me: Ham with provolone. Employee 1: squints up at the menu and says uncertainly Provolone? Me: Yes. And a chocolate shake, please. So the sandwich takes its little ride through the toaster, and ends up with Employee 2. Employee 2: what do you want on it? Me: Mayo, tomatoes, lettuce, light onions, pickles and italian seasoning. Employee 2: we're out of tomatoes Me. Oh, okay, let's do avocados then Employee 2 nods. At the register, Employee 1 sets a cup on the counter and says "here's the chocolate shake". Back at my office, I unwrap the order. I have a turkey with provolone on wheat with lettuce, extra onions, one pickle slice, and hot peppers. And a strawberry shake.
I despise the way they handle shakes. As someone who delivers and orders, I don’t like that they play with the straw and rip half the paper off. Just put my straw in the bag. Oh but then what about the cookie? What would we do with it, it’s part of the shake… onto my next issue. The cookie. Whether it’s summer or winter and my heater is blowing or I have the windows open, my car is a vacuum in terms of wind and no matter how much I clean my car, I spend 50+ hours a week in it. It’s gonna be dirty. Put the cookie in the bag with the food. When I see this improvement, I’ll delete this review.
I was first in so it was pretty empty. I'd never been before so the explanation was needed. The sandwich was great, the chips and soda just like anywhere else . Good seating. The entire shopping center has help wanted signs.Food: 5/5
Store has inconsistent hours. Outside sign says they’re open but the handwritten sign says you have to order online. When they are open they usually screw up the order, putting in the wrong salad ingredients or not attending to special requests. I’m done with this particular store. I wish there was a better one close to me. PS: if you read these reviews, most of them have the same issues of inconsistent hours and poor service. The responses from management are always the same: EXACTLY the same. My conclusion: whoever manages this store really just does not care. Not expecting a fix. See their response. Like I said, stock response. They don't even actually provide a phone number/email address for the response. These guys are a joke.
The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I frequent Pot Belly often. How are you going to have an open establishment and refuse to accept orders in your establishment and the employees absolutely doing nothing in your establishment there was no customers no or nothing and you refuse to accept the order talking about you have to make it online. That is horrible customer service and I have been to potbelly several times have never experienced anything crazy like that there was absolutely no customers and nobody in there just the workers and they're standing around looking at each other refuse to accept a order and take money
Love the food, hate that none of the employees know how to make a salad . Went there 5 times … ordered the same salad … 1st time missing half the ingredients.. no biggie try again, 2nd time did a pick up order , the salad was a toddler size, that didn’t even fill me up but I paid the same price . Third time husband went in to order , salad came home with minimal lettuce , missing ingredients, ROAST BEEF !?? , a random grape , no avocado , like a dime size dressing ??? Ok try again later 4th time , again size of full salad was toddler size AND no chicken, wrong dressing !?? Today was my 5th time trying to order the same salad …. This time they basically combined 2 salads into 1 … gross! I can’t with this place ! I really think some employee retraining would be helpful ! Like I said great food but if I have to pay for toddler size portions I won’t be going back !
There were no customers in the store when I got there and there were two employees and they acted inconvenienced that I was ordering. They didn't say thank you or smile. I had to repeat what I wanted on my simple sandwich three times; otherwise the food is excellent. Edit: I did come back the following week. It still seems that the hipsters who work there will not guide you through your order. They don't talk and I'm supposed to guess if I'm supposed to tell them what I want on my sandwich or if it's automatically just made with the toppings listed. Update : they now charge you for a soda if you ask for a water and they don't tell you beforehand that you're being charged for it.
