I've been here twice and I'm convinced it's the best fast food chicken in town. First time I had the chicken deluxe burger and it was so crunchy! And fresh! I've never had breading crunch quite like that before, second time I had the chicken tenders, they were not as fresh nor was the breading even close to the crunch the first time....but, even when it's not fresh it is STILL better fast food chicken than anywhere else. It's large, juicy, actual chicken pieces and you get what you pay for. I'm satisfied. The restaurant could have a better layout, it's awkward to stand and wait for your order because it's right at the door you come in and it gets crowded quickly, they need to rearrange some stuff. I would suggest having orders on the left, pickups on the right, soda machine where the trash cans are and carve out some benches on the opposite wall to put the trash cans. Take out the soda machine area and have people line up on that side to order. Restaurant is pretty clean, benches were a bit small. All in all, love it and will be back thanks! Parking: Parking lot is tight and windy, hard to maneuver a big vehicle, great for small cars, can definitely find a parking spot close to Popeyes no problem. Free parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp near Popeyes and is level going into Popeyes so no problem there. There is one wheelchair friendly table inside the restaurant.
Great chicken sandwich! This place was hopping - line up of 10 outside the door. The wait for our food wasn't as long as i thought it would be. Our fam had the mac & cheese, chicken nuggets, chicken tender, fries, onion rings, rice and beans and finally, the grown-ups had classic chicken sandwiches. The fries were a hit - kids loved them. Chicken tender and nuggets - ok but apparently A&W are better. Also, our kids insist on sweet and sour dipping sauce and that isn't available here. Credit to the kiddos for trying something new. Onion rings were good. Loved the rice & beans. Chicken sandwiches were delish. Big chicken portion - really big. Bun was great - warm and soft. Kinda like a brioche bun. The pickles were awesome - just like if grandma had pickled some real cucumbers. The restaurant is loud and not big. Seating is tight - i had one cheek of the seat the whole time. Tables were dirty when we sat down. And ordering was a little challenging - partly because it was our first time, partly our server spoke quiet and didn't seem to really know the flavour of their food. That's ok - i look forward to trying the spicy chicken sandwich next time. I'd recommend.
Super popular, lots of people lining up. I came here at 11 AM when they just opened. But still many people were sitting inside and waiting. Love their mild fried chicken and mashed potato, so nice to have a Popeyes in Greater Victoria.
We ordered a classic chicken burger, two fish and shrimp combos and an pieces combo. Chicken was definitely crunchy not greasy like other fried chicken place in town. My husband found the chicken burger a little dry but still good for its price. The chicken combo was a little too salty for our taste. I ordered the mild one but the kids 5, 7 , 10yrs old felt that they were still too spicy for them. The fish and shrimp combo were also flavoured. I think they are Cajun battered. We had 4 different sides: mashed potatoes with gravy, Cajun fries, onion rings and coleslaw. The coleslaw was sweet and creamy. The sides were good. Better to eat them fresh. Overall, I think we would go back for the Chicken burger for sure. They have 5 or 6 sauces to choose from. Maybe the chicken combo although they are a bit more salty and flavoured. We will prep more drink next time. Probably not the fish and shrimp too spicy for my kids
I am disappointed in customer service. I received my INCOMPLETE order at 5:15. I told the girl in charge Riya that the order was incomplete, to which she rudely and contemptuously assured me that she had given it completely. I mean, In a nutshell, she treated me like a liar or maybe even a thief. I had to ask her to come out of it and see for herself. My children were surprised by her attitude. She offered a grudging apology and said it would be ready in 5 minutes. Being 6:00, I decided to ask for the order. It turns out they didn't even try to make it. So I had to ask for the money back. How frustrating. Victoria has been characterized by having the best service in BC. Could it be that this franchise, being the only one on the Island, believes that its clients should accept everything? For my part, it will be the last time here. I emphasize that my consumption in this place, whether in online orders or to go and eat there, has been three or more per week. I firmly believe that things can happen in a restaurant, but lack of respect and dismissive treatment is unacceptable. I hope that when you hire staff, you consider that they will be people who will not damage your company's name. I forgot that the potatoes today looked quite soggy. I mean, they didn't look fresh anywhere.
Went here today for the first time at around 1pm. No line. Food was ready quickly, hot, and tasty. Service was good. I will for sure be back when I'm in the area.
Me and my friendsa total of 10 friends came to Popeyes to try the famous Spicy Deluxe Chicken sandwiches. We all got everything in a platter. The staff was super nice and recommended us the pies as well and we loved the strawberry pie. The fries were amazing. The sandwiches are superb. Coleslaw is the best. Supers hyped to come again. Finally one of the best fried chicken place in Victoria.
Upon my first visit to Popeye's Louisiana chicken I had to wait in a lineup outside. It didn't take too long and the service was pretty speedy. I took my order to go and enjoyed myself at home. I picked four meals off the menu and tried all their side dishes. The coleslaw and the beans and rice were very delightful. The chicken was super crunchy and well cooked. I will definitely go back.
Expect an outdoor line up of at least 10 people all day until the hype dies down in the next couple of weeks. But great quality fried chicken, very fresh and crispy. I’m particularly impressed by how the managers and employees responded to the surge in opening demands. Highly recommended!
Food is good and usually fresh. Have had chicken several times and if anything , like most restaurants, it's best to go when they are busy. You will get fresh food, so try not to go in the last hour before closing. And use the app as there are often coupons on it that can save you money on most things there. Parking: Tuscany village has some of the worst parking. The spots are small with lots of tight turns l. Park underground if possible as the main level parking can be risky l Wheelchair accessibility: It it wheelchair accessible
