Pretty good Korean Chinese place! Happy that I tried. Their pork jjamppong was great. Perfectly cooked noodles and nice soup. A bit salty though. Fried eggplant was super tasty. Very crispy and nice sauce. Well balanced! Black bean noodle - tasty but nothing special. Creamy shrimp was interesting. The balance of sweet and salty was great. I enjoyed it. Overall, pretty good. Would come back again.
I ordered a Cream Champong for my dinner. When it is served on the table, its flavour is appealing to your nose. Its appearance is also attractive, demonstrating the chef's generosity in giving bacon, seafood, etc. Apart from several mussels, you can find an intact medium size octopus in the bowl. The noodle is chewy. The quantity is also abundant. The soup base is creamy and not salty. I finish all soup at the end. Remember to give a call and reserve a table, failing which you may need to wait for 30 minutes!
Editing as I finally went back to try their jajangmyeon the black bean noodle, their signature dish. Also tried their fried chicken. All in all, pretty impressive. ------ Me and my friends initially came for jajangmyeon but it unfortunately was sold out. So we opted in to seafood spicy soup with rice noodle and it was amazing. The sweet and sour pork was pretty good too but it wasn't as crispy as I hoped for. I think their breading either made entirely or partially out of rice flour. The pork inside is very tender though. Would definitely return to try jajangmyeon near future.
The cream seafood champong was so good that we wanted to eat it again the next day! Black been noodles was good too. Too bad they were out of beef so we tried the spicy seafood noodles instead. Pretty good too but the cream champong was surely the winner. We finished the whole bowl of soup! So creamy and flavourful! Yum! Not so busy around 4pm Sunday afternoon. Not sure about lunch or dinner time.
A small hidden Korean-Chinese style Restaurant mainly serving noodles and with some appetizer courses on menu. Food are great with friendly service. Highlights of the bowl are the chewiness texture of the noodles LOVE It!! Taste is great. Ordered couple of dishes and noodles from the menu. Personal recommendation must try dishes - Mala Spicy Rice Cakes Fusion style Tteokbokki in Mala spice sauce - Seafood Champong Spicy noodle soup with stir-fried seafood and vegetables - Blackbean Sauce Noodle A popular Korean noodle dish served with black bean sauce, topped with well-cooked pork belly - Seafood White Champong Spicy clear noodle soup with stir-fried seafood and vegetables. We will be back and highly recommended
Pretty under-rated place! Unfortunately their signature red champong was unavailable because they were not able to source the ingredients from Korea. We ended up ordering their white based soup, the jajangmyeon, and the mapo tofu. The jajangmyeon was excellent, the wife loved it and wished she got that over the white broth soup, which I thought was excellent as well! Everyone agreed that the star of the show was the mapo tofu! The way it was prepared was very Korean in flavouring and made it very distinct from the usual more traditional Chinese style mapo tofus. I do highly recommend this place since they have a small but excellent and very focused menu! We'll definitely be coming back!
Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Atmosphere 8.5/10 Very tasty Korean style Chinese foods.. If is not typical Korean Chinese restaurant. Very friendly staff. White beef Jjampon was delicious,I ordered with rice. It is go well with rice as well. P Spicy red beef jjampong was not too spicy and tasty, mauth full of wok hei flavour in the veggies I like Chinese style cucumber here..very refreshing and the fragrant sesame oil and fresh cucumber were very delicious. Squad rings with French fries is good for drink as well I finished all the foods here. I highly recommend here, I want it to go again next day, but Tuesday was closed.
Found this place and have been here twice within 2 weeks. MY Favorite Korean restaurant in Yonge finch. Signature Korean Chinese style dishes, very reasonable price and large portions.
Had the Jajangmyeon Noodles in Black Bean Sauce and the Tang Su Yuk, The portion size was good for the price and very tasty! Good service and decent amount of seating.Food: 5/5
At first we thought that they have pretty interesting variety of menu. We quite like the oriental chicken, however the champong was just ok. I thought the beef champong has more flavor than the white version of it. What's most disappointing for us really was the service. I get that they're busy but we felt more like an annoyance to the server than a guest. All in all, it was just an ok experience despite interesting menu offering which turned out to be...as well just ok Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is on the second floor and I don't believe there is an elevator.
