Pony Corral Restaurant & Bar (Pier7)

Went there for my wife's birthday with our family on Saturday April 16.At the start the experience was good. People started to arrive that booked the upstairs room and the experience went completely down. The party upstairs were really loud and we could not talk to our family members at our table. Food was being thrown down by our tables from upstairs. The staff said they could do nothing about the noise but talked to them about the food. Food still came down. All the staff did was apologize and did not reflect anything on the bill. They even added their own gratuity which I didn't think was appropriate due to the circumstances. I have been at this location many times and the experience was always enjoyable. I sure was disappointed with this recent visit.

So went there for supper today with my kids. The weather was warm and we wanted to sit on a patio. It was quite busy when we got there, and having been a server myself in my student days I could understand that it took longer (10 minutes) for someone to come to our table. After that though, it got much quieter so I expected service to improve. It didn't. Our server did not seem to know the menu and brought me soup I did not want, nor was it actually included in my meal. She was also unsure if the salad was included (it was). No one came to re-fill water glasses, I had to get my own cutlery from another table. When I placed my order I ordered some Tzaziki on the side, but it did not come, so I asked for it again. It finally came when I was more or less done with my meal. I was told I wouldn't be charged for it. I certainly hope not!! The kids reported that the bathrooms were dirty, toilets were plugged and there was no paper. Our table top was wobbly and the seat cushions were worn and torn. All in all, not a stellar experience. We won't be going back.

My workplace booked a private area for a dinner here - area was clean an private, with a bunch of Windows with curtains and a view of the giant disco ball that hangs over the main floor. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. One coworker made a mistake in her order and the staff were quick at helping her substitute something else for her meal. A great place to go - reservations recommended.

Great atmosphere and good music. Has deck with good views of the river. The food is excellent and the service was fast and friendly.

A little pricey but there was live music. The band was good and if that is what you are looking for, then head down. Food was good.
