Cowboys! - 2015 MCMA Venue Of The Year

Winnipeg's TRUE home of country brings you a Saturday night party like no other. Disastrous drink specials and a casual atmosphere combine for a sloppy & satisfying good time. Saturdays are for the boys... so we made it ladies night! Ladies in FREE before 11pm.

Cowboys has been host to a ton amazing concerts such as Tim Hicks, LMFAO, Emerson Drive, Kira Isabella, Dierks Bentley, the Black Eyed Peas, Aaron Pritchett, Doc Walker, Danko Jones, Sloan, 3 Days Grace, Default, and many more.

MLCC photo identification requirements recently changed, make sure you carry one of the following whenever you come to Cowboys:

- Manitoba Driver’s Licence
- Manitoba Enhanced Driver’s Licence
- Manitoba Identification Card
- Manitoba Enhanced Identification Card
- Passport from Canada or another country

*If you do not have any of the above ID, you will be asked to provide TWO types of valid government-issued secondary identification, one of which must include a photo.

Scam prices…details below. Decided to go with coworkers/friends after work Jan. 20th and got there to a line of maybe 20 people. Security guards outside were super chill and were attentive but that’s where the good of it ends. Keep in mind I was the DD for the group so I was not in a drunken state to be blindly taken advantage of. While waiting in line just as it hits 1am they tell us they upped the entrance fee to $20 from $10 for the last hour….in what way does that make sense?! If anything, it should cost less considering there’s a small amount of time left, but, reluctantly we pay because my group still wants to go and everyone was cold from standing outside. At the till and ID centre inside the door, we can see the cashier punch in the POS for the entrance fee and it displays “$10” but requests the $20…this leads up to believe they are pocketing $10 for themselves for every person walking in. Something you can’t really take the time to point out as you are being funnelled through without choice and the security there forces you to continue moving so you are just being scammed without a say in the matter. The bartenders also just charges you whatever they want for drinks shamelessly. They forced my friend to pay $18 for 2 single rum and cokes….meanwhile across the dance floor that same order cost another friend of mine $15…no consistency, but expensive regardless. After entering and buying two drinks…my one friend had already spent nearly $40 within 5 minutes. Might as well go else where if that’s the case…My group of 10 people could have spent that combined entrance fee of $200 to get a taxi or something to a better establishment that doesn’t blatantly scam you.
This place has turned into such a dump!! Broken chairs, railings, bathroom was dirty, 3 set of times to pull out your ID?? No way should there be a cover charge!!
Bartenders are great. However, the security are absolutely useless. My friends and I needed help and we tried to ask for their assistance, but no, they looked at us, told us it wasn’t their responsibility, and stormed off. Yikes.
it would be fun if they didn’t go over their capacity, gets dangerous and the security might as well not be there, so bad. catch a charge for hooking up with a minor there

Nice bar good service great sound and ligh system
Washroom guy stole my boyfriend. Annoyed. Club itself was fire. The song Africa by Toto played on repeat all night. I never thought that was a thing that could happen. That song will haunt my dreams. Enjoyed the night.
I pretty much go here for the great and reasonably priced drinks and of course JuicyP Babyyyyyy
Honestly a decent club as one that went too many but the staff mostly security needs a little more experience or read up on the policies again. 3 stars but a 4/10 in my heart.
