Rumor's Restaurant & Comedy Club

Love the shows this place brings in to Winnipeg. They run a good show too, well timed and hosted. Great in terms of a comedy club for the entertainment aspect. The servers were also really great. Attentive and friendly and very accommodating to my particular drink order. The food and drinks however, are incredibly terrible. The cocktails are undrinkable they're so bad. Don't bother getting the overpriced fancy ones, just stick with a basic mix drink or a beer. Food wise, even just the veggie tray, which is $31!!! Is awful. I mean, how can you mess up a veggie tray? I'll tell you. The Bell peppers were cut up like the prep cook the night before was trying to knock off early for a date. The white membranes on the insides weren't even trimmed and they were clunky giant chunks. And I mean... Green pepper, not even a mixed red or yellow in there? The green pepper is the cod of the pepper world. And then one of the veggies was giant, barely ripened tomatoes chunks. Who eats that? And the spinache dip was so woody and stringy with fibers that with every bite I had to spit out a chunk of wadded up balls.nnI will say that I have had other things on the menu before at other shows I've gone to and the wrap was pretty good and a few other things were actually good. So it's not everything on the menu that's terrible. But it's not great and it's unfortunate they can't offer a better dining experience.

Horrible experience. Food was horrible and overpriced. The opening act was horrible and his whole set was heckling the audience. Then when he was heckled back he shut down and couldn't pull a joke together. Then they cut the table off from buying anymore drinks even tho we all only had one drink each before they cut us off. If you don't want people to heckle don't heckle that audience if you don't have the comedic experience to hold it together. Then Jeff dye came on and he was hilarious. We couldn't stop laughing but we tried to order drinks and they told us the table was cut off. We all left because it was ridiculous, we wanted to stay and watch Jeff dye but the service was so bad we decided to take the loss and go somewhere else. Don't recommend this place at all. If I could do no stars I would, wait for your comic to go somewhere better.

I always have a great time at rumors and lots of laughs! I definitely recommend checking it out. The staff is great, and the performers are too! I also recommend checking out the seasonal pass if you're likely to go multiple times. It's a great opportunity to see comics you love or comics you've never seen! Visited friends in Winnipeg and they brought us to Rumors. What a wonderful time we had!!! Our server Julia was amazing - she visited us at just the right intervals. Also the food was really good! We enjoyed everything, thank you for having us!!

Staff great. Comedians great. Food AWFUL! Worst spinach dip we’ve ever had in our lives, the wings were overdone and tasted like they’d been sitting out for an hour, then they sprinkled some lemon pepper on that didn’t stick to the wings, was just sitting in a pile at the bottom of the plate, and served it even taking it back to the kitchen for more seasoning and bringing the same yucky wings back with a container of seasoning. Very disappointing to spend $20 on food, only to have to stop at a drive through on the way home because I was hungry and felt awful after eating half the wings I was served. The fries were okay, but paying $11 for a side of fries is crazy. The food used to be so good so not sure if they changed management or chefs but something has gone really wrong. I’m going to have to see a lot of amazing reviews before I ever order any food at rumours again. Very disappointing.
