Story

Planet Fitness is known for a lot of things. We’ve got tons of equipment, clean and spacious locker rooms, and the friendliest staff around. We’re also the home of the Judgement Free Zone®, which is a somewhat fancy way of saying we’re a laid-back environment, where you don’t need to worry about that hardcore attitude you might find other places.

I just switched to Planet Fitness after being a member at Anytime Fitness for several years. The only reason I switched was because the Columbia Heights Planet Fitness is extremely close to my home. So far, I really like the choice in machines, it is not crowded during typical busy times, and there are so many things included in my membership. There is also plenty of space for workouts where you don't want to use machines. The only negative experience I've had so far is that the staff could use better customer service skills. They were somewhat rude, distracted, and extremely unenthusiastic throughout my process of signing up. The only reason I went through with signing up is because I know I personally won't be interacting with the staff much on a daily basis. But I do hope the staffing improves the longer this location is open!

Good experience so far. Been a member for about a month and every time I go in, this gym is not terribly busy. Good equipment and a pleasant atmosphere, I like it and plan to keep my membership long term.

Equipments are always clean and the staff is beyond courteous. The staff walks around and put equipments back in place so the gym is always neat.

They service is great, but prices are not so great. They charge a lot to buy out of your contract

Smaller than other locations but very opens and easy to use equipment. Clean.
