With over 40 years in the restaurant business and 30+years as a Pizzaiolo; Romolo Known as the “Grand Master “ of the Margherita Pizza, finally opened up his place in January 2012. The restaurants specializes in Neopolitan style pizza, however, they do offer house made pastas; paninos; antipasti and dessert! They have become recognized as one of the top eateries in Toronto. They have topped the charts for number one pizza, ranked on Joanne Kate’s top 100 restaurants , won Best in Chow’s hit show “Pizza Wars” , as well been featured on the Food Networks “You Gotta Eat Here! The overall experience was good, I really liked the cheese taste of the Pizza. It was different from other places. The Pizza dough was good too, but not Very exceptional. The portion of fries was great and the price was so fair. This was absolutely a great place to visit and trying for once.
The atmosphere is fantastic and the service is top notch. Me and the wife really enjoyed both the pizzas we ordered. Next time we're in the city this place is definitely be on the short list of places to eat.Food: 4/5
Came here after craving Italian food and I’m glad I did! Tried their bruschetta and their ravioli which was delicious and filling. Had to get the tiramisu for dessert which was lovely and they have a good cocktail selection too. Service was quick and friendly. Would recommend!
excellent service provided by our waitress Julianna , pizza was amazingly great, would have love a bit of more cheese on it but it was delicious. I tried the eggplant parmigiana di melanzane it was very good with the cheese on top. My wife had the meat lasagna is was perfect, the serving size was great. Also the gelato lime loved it and the chocolate gelato was mouth watering, all the experience was lovely.
It was awesome and one of my favorite restaurants in Toronto. We ordered Margarita pizza and tiramisu. Both were wonderful especially the pizza was amazing. I’ve never tasted before such a delicious pizza. I definitely recommend there if you are looking for today's restraint.
The food is always amazing, the fired pizzas are my favourite. Good Neapolitan pizza, maybe a bit doughy compared to the best of the best, but still worth trying. Service was friendly and helpful. Great open air seating and view of the Kensington market area.Food: 4/5
I had food at Pizzeria Via Mercanti today with my colleagues and it was fantastic. The Diavola pizza is amazing! I also loved how passionate the owner is about the quality and authenticity of his food. He explained how hard their team works on getting the ingredients right every day. And their passion and efforts really show in their food.
